“You Will Be in Prison”: Letitia James’s Face is Priceless as Constituent Reminds Her She Faces 30 Years in Prison, $1 Million Fine during Televised Event [WATCH]

A conservative New Yorker dropped a bomb on controversial leftist Attorney General Letitia James, confronting her during a town hall meeting after allegations surfaced James had committed wire fraud, bank fraud, and several other egregious crimes, which, according to press accounts, could end with a $1 million fine and 30 years in prison.

For context, the Department of Justice opened a criminal investigation into New York Attorney General Letitia James on May 8, 2025, in response to accusations that James had wasted taxpayer money with alleged real estate fraud. In response, a conservative constituent called James out during a town hall meeting on May 9, 2025, asking her if she would “apologize to President Trump” for her conduct.

In addition, the confrontation occurred shortly after the accusations against James surfaced in April 2025, with press accounts confirming that U.S. Federal Housing Mortgage Agency (FHCA) Director William Pulte alleged that James falsified records to get a mortgage on a home in Norfolk, Virginia, and listed it as her primary residence, despite the law requiring her to hold a primary residence in New York.

Moreover, in a letter referring James to the DOJ for an investigation, Pulte reportedly wrote, “Ms. James, for both properties listed above, appears to have falsified records in order to meet certain lending requirements and receive favorable loan terms.”

In addition, according to press accounts, Pulte accused James of wire fraud, bank fraud, and false statements to a financial institution. In response, James reportedly wrote a letter to the Department of Justice denying the allegations, saying, “If prosecutors are genuinely interested in the truth, we are prepared to meet false claims with facts.”

After the accusations surfaced, Attorney General James was confronted by a man in the crowd at the May 8 town hall meeting, who asked her, “Will you apologize to President Trump and the state of NY for wasting millions of dollars for a witch trial and how does it feel to know that you will be in prison for mortgage fraud?”

As the man asked his question, boos erupted from the crowd, and security guards promptly moved in to escort him out. Attorney General James responded by saying, “Thank you for coming.” Visibly uncomfortable and cringing, the attorney general added, “We want to thank him for coming, we respect all opinions. Everybody knows those allegations are baseless. They’re discredited. And so we want to thank him.”

When the video of the confrontation was shared on X by conservative influencer ALX, conservatives sounded off in the comments, with the user Neon_Wolf writing, “‘Everybody knows those allegations are baseless.’ The documents proving she committed fraud are already open source, LOL.” Another user chimed in, “She might be laughing now…but her sweaty armpits and clammy hands tell a different story!!”

In addition, the X user Ian Morcott left a scathing comment about the situation, saying, “The irony is thick,” and adding that James has “a problem with projection,” going on to say, “She was doing what she falsely accused Trump of doing. And now, reality is heading her direction.”
