“Winning Message”: Key Republican Organizer Finds Epic Way to Keep Turning Longtime Democrat Stronghold Red, and It Looks Like It’s Working

Prominent conservative activist Scott Presler has been campaigning tirelessly in New Jersey for gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli, and Presler proudly announced on social media that he and his team were confident that they had found a “winning message” for the state: focusing on lowering property taxes.

For background, Scott Presler, founder of the conservative political mobilization group Early Vote Action, shared a post on X on July 25, 2025, that featured a screenshot of a simple poll drawn on a whiteboard next to a poster for Republican Jack Ciattarelli that read: “Are Property Taxes Too High?” with the answers “Yes” and “No” separated into two columns. Dozens of people voted “Yes,” with zero “No” votes.

Writing on X, Presler said, “I think we found a winning message for New Jersey,” commenting on the overwhelming response to the question of pricey property taxes under the current governor, Democrat Phil Murphy. Presler continued, “Lowering property taxes is going to be a driving issue in the NJ gubernatorial election.”

Replying to Presler in the comments section, conservatives were overwhelmingly supportive. The user Dives Sum wrote, “Nice I love the whiteboard concept! Hope we in Nevada will use that.” They added,  “Common sense becomes so obvious.” Presler replied, “I hope our work inspires conservatives to use these whiteboards for engagement everywhere.”

In addition, many other commenters showed their support for Presler’s work and expressed outrage about steep property taxes. One user wrote, “I never dreamed in my life I would see a push for lowering property taxes.” They continued, “It’s immoral to charge people property tax, especially when they’re not sending kids to the local school that they’re supposedly collecting it for.”

Previously, Presler has expressed confidence that New Jersey, a historically blue state, is shifting red, telling Politico, “The way that I look at it is, New Jersey has been voting blue for so long, and the definition of insanity is you’re repeating the same thing over and over, and you’re not having success.” He added, “These people truly feel that they are getting the short end of the stick: their businesses, they are overtaxed, their homes, they are overtaxed. They feel the economic burden.”

In addition, before heading to New Jersey, Presler previously campaigned in Pennsylvania for several days, posting while he was there on July 21, 2025, that his organization had obtained new voter registration data that confirmed that “More Democrats switched to Republican than vice versa.” He also clarified that more Democrats “switched to other” than Republicans.

In response to the exciting news, Presler said, “Something very special is coming,” going on to add, “Republicans are 67,635 *active* voters away from flipping Pennsylvania.” He went on to announce, “And I’m not just focused on PA; we are here to elect Jack Ciatterelli as the next governor of the Garden State of New Jersey.”
