The tide is turning against the partisan, insufferable know-nothing hosts of The View, as a courageous audience member blasted Whoopi Goldberg at the beginning of taping for their Wednesday show way back in January of 2023. It apparently got the attention of Whoopi and her co-hosts, who immediately had to address the situation before resuming their normal banter.
“We’re happy to see ya’ll. Cool, well, go on and have a seat,” Goldberg stated before turning her attention to the heckler. “Did you just call me an old broad? Yeah?” she then said. The camera panned to a woman sitting near the front of the stage.
“She said, ‘You old broad,’ and I was like, hey, it’s Wednesday, and I am an old broad, and happy about it,” she remarked, attempting to downplay the insult. Co-host Sonny Hostin chimed in by saying that the term “old broad” was preferable to any alternative slurs.
Whoopi evidently agreed with that assessment and chimed in to say as much in her response to Hostin. “The alternative is not attractive to any of us,” Goldberg replied. “We all want to be old broads and old dudes, you know?”

More recently, Whoopi has been having freakouts on air over Trump’s accusation that she got her job on “The View” because of wokeness. Going berserk over that, she said, “Let me explain something to you, because without that wokeness, you might not have that job!”
Continuing, Whoopi declared that it was “wokeness” that meant women could be press secretaries, a not-so-vieled attack at Karoline Leavitt, who had attacked her. She said, “Because women were not invited to that table. Women were not invited to many tables in this nation. The reason we fought and busted our behinds to make sure that you didn’t have to worry about this.”
Whoopi wasn’t done with her absurd talking point. She then declared that “wokeness was put in place for a reason,” and that the reason was that black people and women had a harder time getting spots in colleges, and thus that “wokeness” solved that issue. Ignored was that things changed on that point decades before “wokeness” became a thing.
In any case, Whoopi kept up her ridiculous ramble, shouting, “Women were not invited to this party. It was a man’s world, and we busted our asses to make sure that this was a person’s world.” She then snapped, “So please, please stop using that phrase and talkin’ about, because you don’t understand what you’re saying.”
Finally getting to the end of her angry rant, Whoopi said, “You’re saying, about yourself, that, you know, ‘Hey, that’s a terrible thing to be.’ It’s not a terrible thing to be. That’s why we fought.
