Pro-Trump fans at a New York Yankees baseball game on Wednesday, May 22, unfurled a banner in support of the former president the day before his highly anticipated rally in the South Bronx, a rally attacked by leftists like AOC. The banner unveiled was of Trump’s mugshot from Fulton County with the words “Never Surrender” emblazoned on it.
As background, Trump released “Never Surrender” goods and apparel after the mugshot that was taken thanks to Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who brought a case against Trump and 18 of his 2020 legal and campaign team members. Willis was later revealed to have had an affair with one of the special prosecutors she appointed for the case, Nathan Willis.
In any case, it was a banner with such a mugshot that was unfurled by Dion Cini, who describes himself as a “Professional Provocateur” on X. Posting about the matter, Cini said, “Another successful #OperationFlagDrop Trump Mugshot at Yankee Stadium in Da’Bronx. Great job America First Warehouse
@americafirstwh”
Quote tweeting Cini’s post about the incident and congratulating him on how it went, Laura Loomer wrote, “Great job, @dioncini! My friends Dion and @americafirstwh just dropped a NEVER SURRENDER Trump mug shot flag at Yankee stadium in New York the night before President Trump’s rally in the Bronx! You love to see it!”
America First Warehouse, from where the “Never Surrender” flag appears to have come, was founded by Cini and is described as being a “unique, patriotic venue for events, showcasing American-made products, and advancing the America-First agenda.”
Outkick’s Clay Travis drew attention to the “Never Surrender” flag incident as well, posting, in a tweet so far viewed nearly a million times, “Fans at Yankee Stadium just unveiled a huge Trump mugshot banner with “Never Surrender” on it.”

This isn’t the first time that a Trump flag was unfurled at a Yankees game. A similar incident occurred in September of 2023, when Dion Cini was also responsible for displaying a Trump flag at a Yankees game in Yankees stadium. The American Tribune reported at the time:
The New York Yankees were playing the Detroit Tigers on Wednesday night at their home stadium, Yankee Stadium. The game also briefly turned to a pro-Trump event when a collection of fans unfurled a massive “Trump or Death” banner over the balcony as “God Bless America” played.
Videos soon emerged of the colossal flag being unfurled at the game, with the banner featuring Donald Trump’s death stare, text saying “Trump or Death,” a likely play on Patrick Henry’s famous “Liberty or Death” speech, and the years 1776 and 2024, representing America’s Declaration of Independence, and when Trump could once again be elected president, respectively.
The flag was only visible for about a minute before being packed back up. The Yankees managed to eke out a victory in the game, winning by 4 to 3 against the Tigers, with the game seeing no other disruptions of note.
This is the second time in a week that a Trump flag was unfurled at a Yankees game in Yankee stadium. On Sunday, as the Yankees beat the Houston Astros 6 to 1, a flag reading “Finish the Wall – Trump 2024” was also unfurled over the balcony.
