In a heartwarming moment, President Trump surprised a 104-year-old World War II veteran with a personalized birthday greeting, which was organized with help from a Republican congressman after a video of the veteran inviting the president to his birthday party went viral on TikTok.
For context, Denver Moore, whose 104th birthday was on May 15, 2025, was the star of a TikTok video in which he invited President Trump to his birthday party, adding that he was proud to get to vote for Trump a second time. After the video went viral, Moore’s congressman, Rep. Michael Rulli (R-OH), helped make the veteran’s birthday wish come true by delivering President Trump’s message.
In his initial video, which was shared on TikTok and got hundreds of thousands of views, Moore said, “President Trump… I’m gonna be 104 in May, and I’m inviting you to my birthday party in Canal Fulton,” he said in the video. “I got to vote for you again, and I hope I can vote for you some more.”
Not long after, on May 14, Moore found out that he had received a personal birthday greeting from the president thanks to his congressman. The message began with Trump saying, “Hi, Denver!” He continued, “I want to wish you a very happy 104th birthday from your all-time favorite president. That’s me, Donald Trump.”
Next, President Trump told Moore that he was sorry he couldn’t make it to the veteran’s 104th birthday party, saying, “I’m sorry we weren’t able to get to your party. I would love to get to your party, but I’m working on Russia, Ukraine, China, and all sorts of other places.” He added, “And I know you want us to do well.”
Finally, the president shared his heartfelt thanks for Moore’s service to his country, saying, “But I want just to thank you for your incredible service to our nation and for your support for making America great again.” He concluded, “A very, very special man you are, and happy birthday.”
After Moore got his birthday greeting from the president, Rep. Rulli told Fox News Digital that when he first saw Moore’s video, he was “struck not only by the incredible milestone of his life but also by his deep sense of patriotism and service.” He added, “I was even more surprised to learn that this remarkable WWII veteran was a resident at a facility right in my district.”

In addition, regarding President Trump, Moore said that he has been a long-time supporter, telling Fox News Digital that he believes the president “may make a mistake or two,” but is “doing most everything right.” Moore also described the experience of getting a birthday greeting from President Trump as “quite a ride.”
When asked about how he has lived for so long, Moore told Fox News Digital, “I was always active, doing something. I carried mail for 20 years, walking, and that was good. I grew up on a farm. We did everything. And if we didn’t have anything to do, we created something. So it’s just this: stay active.” In addition, Moore had one more piece of advice: “Marry the right woman and live with her all of her life.”
