An MSNBC interview with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi turned into an absolute trainwreck when Pelosi started stuttering and stumbling her way through a string of baseless attacks against the Trump Administration, which she described as being rife with “violent rhetoric” while talking to former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.
For context, in an interview on MSNBC’s “The Briefing” on November 3rd, 2024, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi struggled to get her thoughts together while discussing then-presidential candidate Donald Trump with Jen Psaki, Biden’s former press secretary. During the interview, Pelosi stuttered constantly, sounding progressively more incoherent as the segment went on and failing to make a salient critique of President Trump.
While speaking to Psaki, Pelosi made a string of bizarre, indecipherable comments about Trump, saying that recent statements from the then-candidate were “further indication of his cognitive degeneration,” adding, “Recently, he was talking about whether he chose electrocution or being eaten by sharks…something is very wrong here and indicative…” Pelosi coughed, stuttered, and struggled to regain composure before incoherently adding, “It also is diminishing to the power of the press, which is the guardian of our freedom and our country.”
Next, Pelosi said that people who were considering voting for Trump “have to know that he can’t last as president for four years with his brain deteriorating at the rate that it is and is clearly evident,” adding that Trump supporters would possibly be “voting for President Vance (sic), which would be a horrible thing for our country.”
Continuing, Pelosi said that her family had “experienced the violence,” referring to an October 2022 home invasion, quoting her husband, Paul’s, attacker, saying, “‘Where’s Nancy? Where’s Nancy?'” and adding, “Coming into our house, violating the sanctity of our home, the safety of my husband, looking for me, echoing, echoing what was said on January 6 in the Capitol, ‘Where’s Nancy? Where’s Nancy?'” Pelosi then made the claim that individuals were “coming up to punish me for what I had said about Donald Trump.”
Moving on, Pelosi stammered and stuttered her way through basic sentences, saying that gearing up for the 2024 election, she had “been to almost every one of the recently, to, every one, in the last few weeks, to every one of the states of significance in terms of the Electoral College.” She later added, “When [The Dobbs Decision] passed, we put a, we’re still in the, in control.”
After the disastrous interview, conservative commentator Collin Rugg posted a clip and poked fun at the then-84-year-old former House Speaker, pointing out how she “starts stuttering her words just seconds before claiming *Trump* is the one who is in cognitive decline.” He added, “Remarkable,” and quoted Pelosi as saying, “‘Good morning… I think that what, um… uh, uh, mmm, mm, the ex-president just said is, uh, further indication of his cognitive degeneration.'”

In response to Rugg’s hilarious post, conservatives sounded off on X, with Alex Finn commenting, “How does this person still have any sort of power? Openly insider trades. Clearly corrupt. Doesn’t care about anyone but herself.” Another commenter added, “It’s hilarious watching the people the (sic) lied about Biden’s health for 4 years and called him sharp as a tack weeks before running him out of his candidacy talk about their opponen’s (sic) state of mental health.”
