Trump’s border czar Tom Homan shined a spotlight on the Democrats’ vicious anti-ICE rhetoric in a bombshell interview with Fox News, pointing out that the left is encouraging. violent attacks on Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents by comparing them to Nazis and terrorists in vitriolic public statements.
For background, on July 8, 2025, border czar Tom Homan appeared on Fox News and weighed in on the exponential increase in violence against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, saying that he believed that Democratic lawmakers who publicly condemned ICE were providing a platform for “nuts” to act out violently against the agency.
Speaking to Fox News, Homan said of the anti-ICE rhetoric used by the left, “This is a well-planned attack, and it’s because of the rhetoric.” He added, “These nuts that want to take it beyond protests into criminal activity, they’re getting, uh, they’re getting rhetoric from the members of Congress, the senators who compare ICE to the Nazis.”
Next, Homan zeroed in on Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), a notorious leftist, saying, “Congresswoman Jayapal compared it to terrorist organizations, so these people, these fringe groups, feel emboldened.” He added that in response to statements like Rep. Jayapal’s, radical leftists must be thinking: “‘If a member of Congress can attack ICE, why can’t we?'”
Moreover, on July 9, 2025, the White House also called out the Dems for their anti-ICE rhetoric in an article, writing, “As ICE agents risk their lives to secure our borders and protect our communities, they’re facing a 700% surge in assaults — a direct consequence of dangerous, inflammatory rhetoric from Democrat politicians.”
Continuing, the White House article pointed out that Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) had “implored” Americans “to fight the Trump Administration ‘in the streets,'” adding that ICE “Will be unsuccessful” in protecting their identities ‘no matter what it takes.'” Likewise, the White House called out Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), saying that she “called ICE agents ‘deranged’ and said it is ‘inspiring’ to obstruct immigration enforcement.”
Tragically, weeks before his appearance on Fox, Homan told New York Post journalist Miranda Devine on June 25, 2025, that he and his wife were living separately due to threats on his life from anti-ICE activists, saying, “I see her as much as I can, but the death threats against me and my family are outrageous.”

Continuing, Homan added that despite the threats against him, his wife had encouraged him to stick with his role, explaining, “She said, ‘You need to go back or we’ll get divorced,” adding, “Because if you don’t go back, you’ll be waking up every day, pissed off that you didn’t go back, and I’ve gotta live with four more years of you being pissed off, so go back and do the job.'”
