WATCH: Letitia James Has Another Astounding Public Meltdown

Things got entertaining as Letitia James, the New York Attorney General who went after Trump for a loan he paid back and now is facing charges from the Department of Justice over numerous cases of mortgage fraud she allegedly committed, had yet another total meltdown over the charges she is facing.

As background, the FBI opened an investigation into NY AG James for numerous instances of mortgage fraud she is alleged to have committed, and for which there appears to be a great deal of evidence, as was exposed to the public by Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) Director William Pulte.

He, in a letter to the DOJ in which he referred James for criminal prosecution, alleged that she “consistently misrepresented the same property as only having four units in both building permit applications and numerous mortgage documents and applications,” doing so to get a lower mortgage rate under the federal Home Affordable Modification Program. In reality, the home had five units, which would have disqualified it from the program.

Further, AG James is alleged to have listed a property she purchased in 2023 as her “principal residence” despite the fact that it is in Virginia and she is living in New York for her job as AG and to run for the position, as New York requires its attorneys general to both live in the state for five years before running for office and to reside in it while in office.

So, when giving a speech before the Association For a Better New York on Tuesday, May 20, NY AG James had a total meltdown in which she freaked out over the mortgage fraud charges despite the plethora of evidence showing she likely committed a crime, insisting that it was all a mistake blown out of proportion because of politics.

Speaking about the matter during her speech, James freaked out and insisted that the FBI is only investigating her because President Trump wants revenge and retribution for what she did to him, saying, “This investigation into me is nothing more than retribution. It’s baseless.”

Continuing, James insisted that it was a mere mistake that she said she was a resident in Virginia, which is ridiculous. She claimed, “It has to do with with the fact that on a power of attorney I mistakenly indicated that I was a Virginia resident, but prior to that I indicated to the mortgage broker that, in fact, in bold capital letters, that I am not a Virginia resident and never will be.”

James also vowed more legal counter-attacks against Trump during her freakout of a speech, snapping, “My message is clear: don’t harm my city, don’t harm my state. Otherwise, you’ve got to go through me, and you can attack me all you want. I take the attacks and just wake up the next day, say a prayer, and go to work.”

    Watch her meltdown here:

FBI Director Kash Patel, for his part, has indicated that the case is very important to the FBI and to the public, saying, “This case, I can tell you, is being handled by professional pros, who are subject matter experts, reporting directly to headquarters because it is a case of great public importance.”
