The far-left National Football League (NFL) has doubled down on wokeness all season, and is sticking by that with its decision to have the far-left singer Bad Bunny, known for his pro-illegal immigration, anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) stances, sing at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show.
President Trump is against the whole thing, given the polarizing nature of the ridiculous choice, which led to a very entertaining discussion between White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt and Fox News Channel White House Correspondent Peter Doocy, who asked it Trump will be displaying the game at Mar-a-Lago.
For reference, Bad Bunny has kept up the attacks on ICE despite the criticism, doing so as recently as the February 1 Grammy Awards, during which he angrily declared, referencing anti-illegal alien deportation operations, “we’re not savage, we’re not animals, we’re not aliens — we are humans, and we are Americans.”
So, it was in the context of that situation that Doocy asked, joking about whether the president will be playing the Super Bowl halftime show as the far-left, anti-ICE performer does his routine during the middle of it, “At the Mar-a-Lago Super Bowl party. After the first two quarters, are the TVs going to be on the halftime show with Bad Bunny or the halftime show with Kid Rock?”
Leavitt responded by saying he will not be. She indicated that he will instead be watching the Turning Point USA-sponsored alternative halftime show, which will feature pro-MAGA country rock stars like Kid Rock and Brantley Gilbert, “I think the president would much prefer a Kid Rock performance over Bad Bunny. I must say that.”
Continuing, she joked that the president won’t comment on who he wants to win, but she is hoping to see the Patriots pull out the victory, saying, “The president has wisely chosen not to make a prediction on Sunday night’s game, but as a native girl from New Hampshire, go Patriots.”

Somewhat bizarrely, the NFL has responded to the furious criticism surrounding its Bad Bunny decision by doubling down, with Commissioner Roger Goodell saying, “Listen, Bad Bunny is, and I think that was demonstrated last night, one of the great artists in the world, and that’s one of the reasons we chose him,”
Continuing, the commissioner said, “But the other reason is he understood the platform he was on, and this platform is used to unite people and to be able to bring people together with their creativity, with their talents and to be able to use this moment to do that. And I think artists in the past have done that.” He added, “I think Bad Bunny understands that, and I think he’ll have a great performance.”
Andrew Kolvet, a spokesman for TPUSA, commented on the group’s alternative halftime show, saying, “‘The All-American Halftime Show’ is an opportunity for all Americans to enjoy a halftime show with no agenda other than to celebrate faith, family, and freedom.” He added, “We can’t wait to watch the incredible show they’re about to put on. We know millions around the country will be watching too.”
