WATCH: Jasmine Crockett Gets Hilariously Dismantled Live on Air In Sarcastic Nod to “Thought Leader” Claim

A Fox News Host pulled no punches in his hilarious takedown of woke congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, saying that if Crockett were a “thought leader” of the Democrats, as some have claimed, her party was a lost cause, and zeroing in on controversial statements made by the congresswoman about President Trump that some described as “politically incorrect.”

For context, in a June 1, 2025, segment of Fox News’s “Sunday Night in America” with Trey Gowdy, Gowdy took Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) to task for her ad hominem attack on President Trump during an appearance on MSNBC in which the congresswoman speculated about the president’s delivery of a commencement address at the United States Military Academy at West Point.

During her MSNBC appearance on May 26, 2025, Rep. Crockett ripped into President Trump’s West Point speech, describing him as “literally” sounding “like someone who has broken out of the insane asylum,” adding, “Like he’d just be all over the place. Like, get him some ADHD medicine, if nothing else, because I don’t know where he’s ever gonna go.”

Continuing, Rep. Crockett told MSNBC’s Alex Witt that she did not think that West Point graduates probably did not expect “to have their commander in chief address them and start talking about trophy wives, or start talking about how he had so many investigations,” going on to add, “What a great reminder that you are not qualified to be the person that potentially will command us as troops to go into war.”

Next, the congresswoman said that President Trump’s speech was “not instilling confidence whatsoever,” adding, “And honestly, our troops deserve better. Our graduates deserve better. We as a country deserve better. And frankly, if we are going to ever be seen as the world leaders that we historically have been, the world deserves better.” She concluded, “It is time for Republicans to start calling him out and start questioning his mental acuity and whether or not he is equipped to serve mentally. We know when it comes down to his criminality, he is not qualified to serve, but this is just deplorable.”

In response to Crockett’s comments, HuffPost’s Ron Dicker called her a “firebrand,” adding that her statements “may breach political correctness, but they certainly make memorable sound bites.” On the other hand, Fox News personality Trey Gowdy torched Rep. Crockett, saying, “If Jasmine Crockett is a thought leader of the party, Democrats will stay in the wilderness longer than Moses did.”

Continuing, Gowdy said that it was “hard to know where to start with Ms. Crockett,” adding, “She mocked the Governor of Texas for being paralyzed, she conflates attention deficit disorder with insanity, which is both cruel and medically stupid.” Gowdy continued, “What she’s really saying is that a majority of her fellow citizens voted for someone who’s insane. So, what does that make us?”

Concluding his takedown of Rep. Crockett, Gowdy sarcastically said he had some “free political advice” for her, going on to say that “insulting voters typically is not a pathway to success.” After these comments, Gowdy had  Democratic Party strategist Kevin Walling weigh in, and Walling asserted, “Insulting voters is not the path back for Democrats; it’s being welcoming and giving a different approach to those Trump voters and giving them a different path forward to bring them back into the fold.”
