Rep. Jasmine Crockett got slammed by a conservative journalist during a town hall meeting, with the meeting descending into chaos after angry attendees confronted the journalist, who called out Rep. Crockett for portraying herself as having overcome major hardships and struggles.

Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) got her town hall meeting disrupted by Blaze TV host Sara Gonzales, who called the Democratic lawmaker’s bluff and made the case that she was a “spoiled rich kid from Missouri,” referring to Rep. Crockett’s life in St. Louis prior to moving to Texas to attend law school. The encounter culminated in Rep. Crockett’s supporters yelling at Gonzales and getting her removed from the event.
During the meeting, Rep. Crockett began telling attendees about staying at her “granny’s house” when she was growing up, but Gonzales interjected, shouting, “Jasmine! The people of Dallas deserve better than a fake ghetto hoodrat.” Crockett responded by saying, “No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,” and, “Listen, listen, listen, listen, listen.”
Doubling down, Gonzales shouted at Rep. Crockett, “Do they know you’re a rich kid from Missouri?” At that point, several of Rep. Crockett’s supporters attempted to subdue Gonzales, who yelled, “Don’t touch me!” A woman shouted back, “Get your a– out of here!”
Then, Gonzales repeated her question, asking Crocket, “Do your people know you’re a spoiled rich kid from Missouri?” In response, another one of Rep. Crockett’s supporters yelled, “Get out! Get out! Get out!” Gonzales replied, “F— you! F— you! Get off me. Get off me!” The journalist was then escorted from the event while continuing to film the incident.
After Gonzales was removed, Rep. Crockett reportedly told the crowd, “Listen, this is part of the problem,” adding, This is part of the problem. I want y’all to be part of the solution… We’re going to show these people that ignorance will not win today.” She also advised the attendees, “I assure you that if we start to connect with one another, it is so much harder to hate each other.”
When Gonzales shared the footage of her encounter with Rep. Crockett on X, she received overwhelming support from conservatives for confronting the Democratic lawmaker. One commenter wrote, “You did a great thing! Good for you! Love to see it! More people need to get the truth out there like this.” Another chimed in, “Thank you for doing this!! 👏 The truth needs to be heard.”

At another point in the event, Rep. Crockett was reportedly heckled by the X user Blonde Conservative, who posted a clip of herself asking Rep. Crockett, “Jasmine, why do you hate white people? Why are you racist towards white people? Why are you racist towards white people?” Gonzales responded to the footage by saying, “I notice she didn’t answer though.”
