Infamous squad member and far-left activist Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) announced she will oppose the upcoming House vote on a $1.2 trillion government funding package before the January 30, 2026, shutdown deadline, refusing to allocate any funds to ICE within the DHS portion.
Doubling down on her absurd comments, the far-left congresswoman labeled ICE a “rogue agency” operating above the law, escalating violence, and eroding freedoms, amid backlash over Trump-era enforcement targeting criminal illegal immigrants and the fatal shooting of Renee Good in Minneapolis.
Reacting to the ongoing and chaotic situation in Minnesota, woke activists, including the Congressional Progressive Caucus, have demanded reforms to end “militarized policing” before supporting immigration enforcement funding, threatening rebellion despite some DHS cuts in the bill.
In a hysterical and absurd statement posted on social media, far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar insisted, “This week, the House votes on DHS funding. I will not vote to give ICE a single cent. No more blank checks for a rogue agency that operates above the law, escalates violence, and erodes our most basic freedoms.”
Additionally, while speaking about the same issue, she alleged, “This was never about law enforcement – it’s always been about political retribution. Trump and his immigration enforcement will not get away with their unlawful attacks on our state. The Constitution is on our side, and we will fight to defend it with everything we’ve got.”
In an unprofessional infographic, she continued, “I will be joining my progressive House colleagues to vote no on this week’s appropriations bill, which provides tens of billions of dollars to Donald Trump’s ICE with no meaningful checks on its lawless and violent behavior. I call on all members of Congress to join us in opposing this legislation.
Still not done, she whined, telling an outright lie about the shooting of Renee Good, who hit the officer who fired at her so hard with her car that he was sent to the hospital for internal bleeding, “Kristi Noem’s ICE is completely out of control. In my community of Minneapolis, a masked ICE officer fired three times at point blank range on Renee Good, a mother of three, killing her in her own vehicle as she attempted to turn away.”

Still not done, Rep. Omar then insisted that Trump was lying about the victim, insisting, “Senior Trump Administration officials then smeared the victim as a domestic terrorist, lied about what happened, and deployed the Vice President of the United States to say her killer ‘deserves a debt of gratitude.’”
Finally winding down her absurd comments, she complained, “We say no to Congressional Republicans pushing legislation that provides $400 million more in ICE detention and $370 million more in ICE enforcement, on top of the unprecedented $75 billion that the agency received in Trump’s Big Ugly Bill as ICE terrorizes our communities—all paid for by cutting Americans’ health care and nutrition support.”

Fighting back, conservatives blasted these woke ramblings in a series of hilarious rebuttals. “Ilhan Omar says no more funding for DHS because that’s what ICE is a part of. I guess she wants more money to fund the daycare centers in Minnesota instead,” one comment noted.
Similarly, another scathing response declared, “We voted overwhelmingly on ICE!!!!! You can’t flood our country with foreign criminals, and expect us to do nothing. Ilhan Omar is the Somali Queen of Fraud,” putting the irritating progressive in her place.
