Things got explosive in a Congressional squabble between Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY), with the two getting in a knock-down, drag-out verbal altercation over whether deported “Maryland Man” Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a known illegal alien, was a member of the MS-13 gang or not.
As background, President Trump deported Garcia in March of this year after announcing it would be using the John Adams-era Alien Enemies Act to speed its deportations of illegal aliens connected with gangs deemed terrorist groups, such as the El Salvadorian gang MS-13 and the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua.
Despite a boatload of evidence that vindicated President Trump by showing that Garcia was not only a wife-beater but a long-suspected MS-13 gang member, Democrats have since gone ballistic over Garcia’s deportation. In fact, they have claimed Trump’s evidence is untrue and even visited Garcia in El Salvador.
It was that situation that led to the explosive exchange between MTG and Goldman, with the New York Democrat insisting that President Trump’s evidence showing Garcia to be an MS-13 gang member is untrue, and demanding of MTG whether a court order had specifically established him as a member of MS-13.
The fight started when MTG presented evidence of Garcia’s gang membership and said, speaking of his alleged involvement with MS-13, “ICE officers, an immigration judge agreed, and an appellate board agreed.” Goldman, butting in, snapped, “I object because she is misstating the record and the facts. That is not accurate, and therefore I object to that being introduced.”
The House Homeland Security Chairman, Rep. Mark Green (R-TN), then chimed in and announced, after a brief recess in the committee, “we have a motion to vote, on the submission of this for the record. That’s all that has been stated.” MTG tried then calling for a vote, which led to Goldman interrupting her.
She snapped, as he tried interjecting, “Do not interrupt me again!” She then continued, asking for a committee vote and saying, “On the vote of whether or not this can be entered into the record, a motion has been made, and we will vote on that motion.” Goldman interrupted her again, saying, :I have a parliamentary inquiry.”

Rep. MTG then recognized the committee’s ranking member Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) for a comment, which Thompson used to ask Green to permit an inquiry, with the lawmaker then asking, “Is it the procedure of this committee that someone who is making an objection to admission of evidence can not view that evidence before we vote on it.”
MTG said that the “content was irrelevant to the motion, and the motion has been made to vote on the submission for the record.” That then led to another fight, with Goldman snapping, “I mean thats what I am objecting to. I mean if she is accurate in what her representation is, I will withdraw my objection. I just need to see the document.”
Goldman then caved after being informed that the information came from a tweet from Attorney General Pam Bondi, saying, “Given that this is a tweet from the Attorney General, that is effectively, I believe consistent with what Mrs. Taylor Greene says, I withdraw my objection.” Watch their fight here:
In the tweet that caused Rep. Goldman to back down, AG Bondi said, “The evidence shows Kilmar Abrego Garcia has repeatedly been identified as a member of MS-13 by: ⁃ A Maryland county police gang unit ⁃ A reliable confidential informant ⁃ ICE officers ⁃ An immigration judge agreed ⁃ An appellate board agreed.”
