An intense video shows federal agents t-boning a car in Los Angeles to catch a man who was accused of punching a U.S. border agent as part of the violent anti-ICE riots that broke out on June 6, 2025, with the Department of Homeland Security verifying that the man was arrested.

For context, it was confirmed on June 12, 2025, that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had arrested Christian Damian Cerno-Camacho, a U.S. citizen who allegedly punched a federal officer during LA’s anti-ICE riots. In a video posted by DHS on X, Cerno-Camacho’s car could be seen getting rammed by an unmarked vehicle, after which the man got out of his vehicle and surrendered.

In an official statement released via X, the Department of Homeland Security wrote of the incident, “This was no hit and run. This was a targeted arrest of a violent rioter who punched a CBP officer.” When Homeland Security Investigations tried to arrest Christian Damian Cerno-Camacho for the assault, he attempted to flee. He was ultimately arrested and taken into custody.”

Continuing, the statement explained that Our federal law enforcement officers “are facing a 413% increase in assaults against them as they put their lives on the line to arrest murders, rapists, and gang members.” The post went on, “Secretary Noem’s message to the LA rioters is clear: you will not stop us or slow us down.”

Concluding, DHS’s statement on X read,” ICE and our federal law enforcement partners will continue to enforce the law.” In a stern final warning, the agency added, “And if you lay a hand on a law enforcement officer, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

In addition, on June 14, DHS released another announcement saying that a similar incident had occurred in which a man named Brian Gavidia had been arrested after he “ASSAULTED U.S. Border Patrol Agents.” The announcement continued, “Secretary Noem has been clear: if you lay a hand on a law enforcement officer, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Moreover, on June 14, 2025, after days of ongoing rioting, the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Division announced online that a dispersal order had been issued in downtown Los Angeles, with the department’s X account writing, “People in the crowd are throwing rocks, bricks, bottles and other objects.”

The post continued, “Less lethal may cause discomfort and pain. It is advised that all persons leave the area.” Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin shared the announcement, writing, “If you assault a member of the military or law enforcement officer you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
