WATCH: FBI Whistleblower Reveals Deep State Operation Inside the FBI to Sabotage Kash Patel

In a shocking interview, an FBI whistleblower revealed the deep state operation within the federal government to sabotage Director Kash Patel, explaining that a little-known piece of the agency’s rule book allows its operatives to launch a counterintelligence investigation into anyone, including the Trump nominee for FBI director.

For background, on December 4, 2024, FBI whistleblower Steve Friend appeared on Benny Johnson’s “The Benny Show” to discuss corruption within the Federal Bureau of Investigation. During the interview, Friend shared some shocking information about what he described as a “full counterintelligence investigation” into Kash Patel, President Trump’s nominee for director of the agency.

During the interview, Friend began by telling Johnson, “Let me drop some knowledge on you,” before explaining the “rule book” used by the FBI, saying, “It’s called the Domestic Investigations Operations Guide, and there’s a portion in there, it’s called Appendix G, and basically stimulates that the FBI can open up a full counterintelligence investigation on anyone who they believe could be the target, like the victim, of a recruitment scheme from a foreign actor.”

Continuing, Friend explained that based on this section in the FBI’s manual, operatives within the agency had launched “a full counterintelligence investigation…on Kash Patel at this time,” adding, “They’re doing it for his benefit, of course, but they’re going to get full access through national security letters to his banking records, all of his electronic communications, again, to protect him against that recruiting.”

Building on his story, Friend called the people behind the investigation into Patel “sick bast—ds,” and added, “So expect this playbook to be used against Kash Patel…they are now scraping through everything that Kash has ever done, even though he received awards for his work inside the Justice Department — 16 years inside the Justice Department, then working for special operations and being one of the lawyers protecting the highest echelons of military service.”

Moreover, the whistleblower said that despite Patel’s record, rogue operatives within the FBI were “going to go back through and they’re going to try and sabotage Kash because he’s a threat to the system.” In response, Johnson explained that he had reason to believe that the FBI was also trying to “pull through” the Kash Foundation, Patel’s non-profit.

Continuing, Johnson explained that he was “pinged by NBC” to weigh in on “the fight with Kash Foundation, which basically serves to assist military veterans and whistleblowers.” He added, “And they want to, I don’t know, paint some sort of corruption scandal on that.” Johnson continued, “Look, my experience with Kash Patel was, we’re talking about a guy who has some investigative skills.”

Rounding out his point, Johnson said that two years ago, he had received a call from Patel, who told him, “‘Hey, this is Kash Patel, and I have the foundation that supports whistleblowers. I would like to give you — because you’re unpaid and definitely suspended forever by the FBI — $5,000.'” Johnson added that Patel had said, “‘I don’t want any attention on this. Don’t tell anybody. This is just something I do because I believe in it.” Johnson concluded, “That’s the character of the man who is tapped to become the next FBI director.”
