In unearthed footage of a fiery Senate floor outburst, Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) blocked bipartisan police funding, accusing Trump of authoritarianism and Democrats of “complicity” for “bending the knee” to the duly elected president of the nation.
Embarassing himself, he raved: “I demand justice… It’s time for Democrats to have a backbone!” Reacting to the viral clip, Conservatives mocked it as a “complete meltdown” and “severe TDS.” Libs of TikTok quipped, “Does someone want to do a wellness check?” while others called him “whiney,” and “deranged.”
Starting off his tirade, Cory Booker whined, “What I am tired of is when the President of the United States of America violates the Constitution, trashes our norms and traditions, and what does the Democratic Party do? Comply? Allow him to beg for scraps? No, I demand justice.”
Continuing his screed, the embarrassing senator kept going. “I will fight for Jersey every day, every night. This is a call, folks, the Democratic Party needs a wake-up call. I see law firms bending a knee to this President. I see businesses taking late-night talk show hosts off the air because they dare to insult a president,” he complained.
Doubling down, the Democrat said, “I see people who want mergers suddenly think that they have to pay tribute to this President, and what are the very people here elected to defend the Constitution of the United States saying, Oh, well, today, let’s look the other way and pass some resources that won’t go to Connecticut, that won’t go to Illinois, that won’t go to New York, that will go to the States he likes.”
Still not done, he claimed, “That is complicity with an authoritarian leader who is trashing our Constitution. It’s time for Democrats to have a backbone. It’s time for us to fight. It’s time for us to draw lines, and when it comes to the safety of my state being denied these grants, that’s why I’m standing here.”
Finally concluding his rant, Booker admonished the crowd, saying, “Don’t question my integrity. Don’t question my motives. I’m standing for Jersey. I am standing for my police officers. I’m standing for the Constitution and I’m standing for what’s right.”

Mocking his over-the-top rhetoric, one conservative joked, “Cory Booker is currently going NUCLEAR over other Democrats fighting with him. This is a COMPLETE MELTDOWN. Democrats are SCREWED!” Agreeing, one commentator added, “Democrats have a 19% approval rating but still somehow always either win or lose by a few thousand votes, make it make sense.”
Prominent conservative voice Libs of TikTok joined in the mockery. “Does someone want to do a wellness check on Democrat Sen. Cory Booker? He’s currently having a severe TDS meltdown,” she joked. Under her post, one user added, “He sure sounds whiney. Where was he when the previous autopen gave some NC residents $700 after they lost everything to Hurricane Helene or the CA and Hawaii wildfires?”

Also making fun of Booker, another stated, “Cory Booker is a guy who would burn his socks and blame Trump because his feet are hot.” Building on this point, another response read, “Again with the crazy eyes. These people are not OK. He’s an embarrassment. Is he going for some kind of acting award or is he this deranged? 👀”
