WATCH: Congressional Committee Hearing Explodes into Chaos after Democrat Makes Vile Comments

A congressional committee hearing completely broke down when a leftist congressman made extremely inflammatory comments about Republicans with a staunch pro-life stance, which led House Republicans to react in outrage as the congressman refused to back down.

For background, in a House Rules Committee hearing on July 2, 2025, Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL) clashed with Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-VA) about President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill,” which Rep. Frost decried, saying that the Republicans who supported were hypocritical when they claimed to be pro-life and insinuating that those with a pro-life stance want children to “die on the streets.”

During the hearing, Rep. Teresa Leger-Fernandez (D-NM) addressed Rep. Frost, asking him if he believed that the Republican megabill was motivated by “a desire for profit,” to which Rep. Frost replied, “Yeah, see, they, they, say they’re pro-life because they want the baby to be born, go to school and get shot in the school, die in the school, die on the streets.”

When Rep. Frost made this extremely inflammatory statement, House Republicans were outraged, with an unseen congressman saying, “I move to strike his words.” Rep. Virginia Foxx spoke up, saying, “We were going to be quiet, but you’ve gone over now.” Rep. Frost replied, “I’m not going over the cliff. I meant every word.”

Pushing back against the woke congressman, Rep. Foxx said, “We are going to strike your words.” However, she clarified, “On the other hand, it might be good to leave your words. It might be good to leave your words, because that’s how you feel, but you are not going to come into this room and impugn our integrity. You will not.”

Then, the congresswoman fervently defended her pro-life stance, saying, “We are pro-life people from conception to natural death, most of us are. And don’t you come in here and say we want to preserve life so people can get shot.” Rep. Frost replied, “That’s what I’ve seen.” The representative then asked Rep. Leger-Fernandez, who had begun the exchange, “Are you through?” adding, “I hope so.”

In response, Rep. Leger-Fernandez went on to say that the witnesses at the hearing had laid out “distinct perspectives and approaches between how we believe this bill will affect Americans, their ability to get health insurance, which is essential, their ability to both live a healthy life and to continue to live.” At this point, the congressman who called for Rep. Frost’s words to be struck from the record cut in.

The congressman, who was most likely Rep. Austin Scott (R-Georgia), called attention back to Rep. Frost’s inflammatory comments, saying, “I did make a motion that has not been acted on. If you would like for me to withdraw that motion, I will withdraw it.” Rep. Foxx replied, “Mr. Scott, I think it’s better to leave those words in the record,” and the congressman replied, “That’s fine. Let’s let them know how they feel.”
