WATCH: Byron Donalds Exposes How Democrats Were Hiding Their Corruption, Says DOGE Is Uncovering It

Congressman Byron Donalds dropped a bomb in a live interview, exposing the corrupt tactics that Democratic politicians use to pursue their own special interests and leftist ideology and confirming that DOGE is rooting out the fraud and waste that has been perpetrated by blue politicos for decades.

For context, Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) appeared on Rob Schmitt Tonight to discuss the work of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk, and its efforts to root out the causes of fraud, waste, and abuse within the federal government. In the interview, Rep. Donalds argued that the status quo that has helped Democrats push a leftist agenda is now “being examined” by DOGE, which is, in turn, transforming the government from the inside out.

During the interview, Rep. Donalds described the Democrats’ misuse of federal funds as “a terrible idea,” adding that he believes the party has acted out of desperation, saying, “The Democrats really don’t have other options.” Continuing, the congressman explained that leftist bureaucrats are upset because “Elon Musk is now scrutinizing the very Leviathan, the very same bureaucratic state that has been unelected, that has been unaccountable, which has really been the secret sauce, the holy grail for the Democrat party.”

Building on his point, Rep. Donalds described the unelected “bureaucratic state” as where Democrats “put all their pet projects,” adding, “It’s where they put all their special interest spending. It is where they put the resources behind their ideology that just doesn’t get promoted in the United States, but gets promoted around the globe.”

Next, Rep. Donalds made the case that the Democrats are reacting to DOGE’s work because of the agency’s ongoing internal audit of their own conduct, saying, “They have no problems if you want to go talk about other nations, if you want to talk about these other issues that typically happen in politics, but when they get scrutinized, now you see what they truly care about.”

Furthermore, Rep. Donalds described the Democrats’ main priority as “the fourth estate,” which he described as “the fourth branch of government that is not in our Constitution, the bureaucracy.” The congressman added, “So they’re going to do everything they can to protect it, yeah, but it’s not going to matter.”

Following the interview, Rep. Donalds explained further on X, saying, “Democrats hid their pet projects, special interest spending, and the resources behind their ideology in an unelected, long-unchecked, federal bureaucracy.” He added, “We caught them & now @DOGE is examining their waste, fraud & abuse. This is why they lash-out (sic) at our common sense actions.”

Responding to Rep. Donalds in the comments section on X, conservatives expressed their excitement for DOGE’s work. The user Eileen McGee speculated, “Could this be the ROOT CAUSE of all the screaming meltdowns across MSM by @CTDems???” Another user added, “I don’t understand how the Republicans didn’t know this? It took an outsider (Trump) to take charge. This didn’t happen overnight. There must be some other dirty hands.”
