President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social account to give a huge thank-you to conservative activist Scott Presler for all the work he did in Arizona to help register folks to vote, an effort that ultimately paid off big for Trump-endorsed candidates who took home big victories following several key primary races in Arizona.
The most notable victory was Rep. Andy Biggs, who President Donald Trump backed, who won the GOP primary in Arizona’s gubernatorial race. Biggs, a lawmaker from the Grand Canyon State, and a well-known ally of the administration, will now face off against incumbent Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs for the highest office in Arizona.
Hobbs wasted no time in coming out against Biggs, writing in a post on her X account following his primary victory, “Andy Biggs has spent his career selling out Arizona families for billionaires, special interests, and even convicted sex offenders. The more Arizonans learn about Biggs, the more they’ll realize he’s one big problem they can’t afford,” the governor wrote.
According to a report from The Daily Caller, NFL kicker Jay Feely, also endorsed by President Trump, took home a critical win in the GOP primary for Arizona’s 1st District for the House of Representatives. Feely played a total of 14 seasons of professional football, with four of those seasons being played with his home state team, the Arizona Cardinals.
The race was a deeply competitive one between several GOP candidates who were vying for a seat left open by Republican David Schweikert, who left the position in order to pursue a run for governor, which ultimately did not pan out. A third Trump-endorsed candidate, Mark Lamb, won the GOP primary for Arizona’s 5th House District.
Biggs formerly served as the representative for the district. One of Lamb’s biggest opponents in the primary was Daniel Keenan, whose campaign was largely based on his having grown up in the district and raising his family in the area. Lamb’s campaign was hit with controversy after accusations were made that he used threats to silence allegations of sexting and other forms of misconduct surfaced due to a report from The Arizona Republic.
Presler is a well-known voter registration activist who played a significant role in helping turn the tide of the 2024 presidential election by specifically targeting individuals in underrepresented groups such as the Amish and truck drivers to increase conservative voter turnout. Similar strategies were likely employed in Arizona, which helped solidify MAGA, Trump-backed candidates as the ones to take on Democrats later this year.

One individual explained the kind of work that Presler does for the conservative movement and why it is so critical to the GOP’s future success in a comment on Trump’s Truth Social post. “Scott Presler’s work is the unglamorous kind that actually decides elections: registering voters, training volunteers, and showing up in the places that get ignored until it’s too late,” the comment started.
“Arizona just delivered another data point. Strong Republican turnout. Andy Biggs taking the nomination. Grassroots energy converting into measurable results. Voter registration is not theory. It is the difference between speeches and power. The people doing that work night after night deserve the credit you’re giving them. Keep the pressure on the rolls. Keep the focus on turnout.
