Top LA Democrat’s Daughters Arrested for Assaulting a Police Officer During Riots

In a shocking display of leftist hypocrisy, the twin daughters of Pasadena, California, Councilmember Rick Cole were among those arrested during the Los Angeles protests, with a statement from the Sheriff’s Department confirming that they had been taken into custody for assaulting a police officer with a deadly weapon.

For context, violent protests broke out in downtown Los Angeles and Paramount, California, on June 6, 2025, in response to ICE raids that led to the arrest of dangerous illegal immigrant criminals. According to press accounts, more than 160 protesters have been arrested, with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department confirming that two of those taken into custody were the twin daughters of Pasadena City Councilmember Rick Cole.

Moreover, Cole’s daughters, Lucia Aguilar and Antonia, were reportedly arrested around 7 p.m. on June 8, 2025, with the Daily Mail reporting that LA Sheriff’s Department Records had shown that the two 26-year-olds were taken into custody “during unrest that saw protesters hurling rocks and other objects from a bridge on to the 101 Freeway, where police vehicles were positioned below.”

In addition, the Daily Mail confirmed that Lucia, who goes by “Luz” and uses they/them pronouns, is a staffer for LA City Councilmember Ysabel Jurado, who reportedly was filmed during her campaign saying, “What’s the rap verse? F**k the police, that’s how I see them,” after being asked about her views on police officers.

Unsurprisingly, following Lucia’s arrest, Jurado told the press that Lucia was being placed on unpaid leave, with the city councilmember quoted as saying, “The allegations are deeply concerning and I take them very seriously. While I respect the individual’s right to due process, I hold my team to the highest standards of conduct.”

Furthermore, according to Los Angeles Magazine, Cole gave a speech on June 9, 2025, encouraging locals to continue protesting, saying, “I’ve just seen pictures of my two daughters on a curb in downtown Los Angeles in handcuffs. So I’m going to be figuring out where they are so I can go bail them out.”

Continuing his speech, Cole said, “This [ICE raid] is personal for me and for my family.” Referring to the mayor of Pasadena, he said, “It’s also personal for the Mayor [Gordo]. When he was growing up, he had a coffee can on the kitchen table with money —in case his dad did not come home from work. So, this is personal for Pasadena, because these are our neighbors. This is our family. These are the workers. These are Pasadenans. And we’re going to protect them.”

Next, Cole told those gathered to listen to his speech that there were “three things to keep in mind,” going on to say, “Number one, organize. Number two, organize. Number three, organize. Hundreds of you came out spontaneously today, because you saw this on social media, because your friends texted you. We need to mobilize in the thousands, because [ICE] is coming back. And when they come back–because they are coming back–we are going to be here.”
