The internet is roaring after the firing of woke prosecutors who tried to go after President Trump, with an order from the DOJ revealing that AG Bondi signed an order removing them from office “effective immediately,” which left conservatives celebrating online and praising the Trump Administration for keeping Jack Smith’s cronies out of the DOJ.

For context, on January 27, 2025, the Department of Justice issued a notice to a group of prosecutors who tried to use their power to take down President Trump while working on special counsel Jack Smith’s prosecutions of the president. In the letter, then-Acting Attorney General James McHenry said that she believed that the prosecutors could not be trusted to use unbiased judgment in their roles due to their involvement in prosecuting the president under the Biden administration.

The notice, which was reportedly delivered via email to the fired prosecutors, included a quote from President Trump, who said that the American People had “witnessed the previous administration engage in a systematic campaign against its perceived political agencies…against those perceived political opponents in the form of investigations, prosecutions, civil enforcement actions, and other related actions.”

Building on President Trump’s statements, Acting Attorney General James McHenry said that this subversive action was never “more salient than in the unprecedented prosecutions…against President Trump himself.” Continuing, AG McHenry addressed the prosecutors directly, saying, “You played a significant role in prosecuting President Trump.”

Next, AG McHenry argued that the prosecutors were untrustworthy, saying, “The proper functioning of government critically depends on the trust superior officials place in their subordinates.” the acting attorney general went on to say that based on their major roles in the prosecution of the president, he did not believe that the DOJ could trust the prosecutors “to assist in implementing the President’s agenda faithfully.”

Concluding the notice, AG McHenry invoked Article II of the Constitution and said, “Your employment with the Department of Justice is hereby terminated, and you are removed from federal service effective immediately.” When the notice was shared on X by the conservative influencer Kambree, commenters celebrated, with user Paul Miller writing, “Best news of the day,” and another commenter adding, “This is the only way to root out the traitors.”

After the notice was issued, Fox News anchors weighed in on the firings of the prosecutors, with correspondent Byron York describing the situation as “an absolutely unique, unprecedented situation.” York added, “Until very recently, these lawyers were working to indict, to try, convict, and imprison the current president of the United States, and they were privy to the legal strategies of the prior administration to do that.”

Continuing, York argued that based on their history, firing the prosecutors was “a prudent idea,” adding, “This is an extremely unique situation of people who are attempting to imprison the current president of the United States.” York’s comments were later shared on X by the conservative influencer Mischief, who wrote of the prosecutors, “At least they’ll be able to tell their children what it’s like to FAFO.”
