“That’s Called Corruption”: Activist Judges Exposed, Slammed for “Criminal Behavior”

In a fierce online smackdown, a conservative commentator destroyed the faulty logic of the left and exposed the hypocrisy of defending woke judges like Hannah Dugan, who was recently arrested after she attempted to prevent an illegal immigrant criminal from being apprehended by federal agents.

For context, Judge Dugan was charged on April 25, 2025, with two federal charges — obstructing a U.S. agency and concealing an individual to prevent arrest — after she tried to help an undocumented Mexican immigrant named Eduardo Flores-Ruiz avoid arrest, according to press accounts. Following Judge Dugan’s trial, she was reportedly suspended by the Wisconsin Supreme Court on April 29, 2025.

Following Dugan’s arrest, leftists were outraged. For example, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) fiercely criticized the Trump Administration on X, saying, “Donald Trump and JD Vance are arresting judges now.” Referencing FBI Director Kash Patel, Rep. Khanna added, “Deleting the tweet won’t undo the constitutional crisis you have just thrust us into.”

After Rep. Khanna posted his reaction to Judge Dugan’s arrest, conservative commentator Rich Baris took him to task online. Baris wrote on X, “Democrats are now taking the position that judges are immune to prosecution for criminal behavior.” He added sarcastically, “Be a judge. Get a get out of jail free card.” Continuing, Baris said, “That’s called ‘corruption.’ Judges are supposed to interpret the law, not break it out of political fanaticism.”

In response to Baris’s comments, conservatives expressed their frustration with the abuse of power by woke judges like Dugan. One X user with the handle Miras Beale said, “Nobody is above the law, because we are the law – say Democrats.” Another commenter chimed in, “Judges are the most powerful people in this nation. They can overrule the President and Congress, and are immune to prosecution for criminal acts. (According to Dems).”

As for Judge Dugan, press accounts confirmed that she has been suspended, with the Wisconsin Supreme Court stating, “In the exercise of that constitutional authority and in order to uphold the public confidence in the court of this state during the pendency of the criminal proceeding against Judge Dugan, we conclude on our own motion that it is the public interest that she be temporarily relieved of her official duty.”

Following Judge Dugan’s suspension, her attorneys reportedly issued a statement that pushed back against the court’s decision. They wrote, “We are disappointed that the Court acted in unilateral fashion. We continue to assert Judge Dugan’s innocence and look forward to her vindication in court.”

Predictably, a large group of protesters gathered after Dugan’s arrest, showing up outside of the Federal Courthouse in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on April 26, 2025. Protesters reportedly held up signs and chanted “immigrants are here to stay” while holding up signs that said “Liberty and Justice for All.”
