Recently, Texas Lt. Gov Dan Patrick slammed President Biden when discussing some of the prominent failures of his administration, such as the border crisis and conflict in the Middle East. Patrick went as far as claiming that “everywhere Biden moves, deaths comes” as a result of his “weak” leadership at home and abroad.
The lieutenant governor first addressed Texas’ conflict with the Biden administration on the placement of razor wire along portions of the border with Mexico. Patrick noted that his state is focused on taking the necessary measures to secure its border, drawing into question why Biden would oppose such efforts. “The idea that the Biden administration would want to stop us from securing the border tells you all you need to know about their goals,” Patrick said.
Several Americans were recently killed overseas by Iran-backed airstrikes on a military base near the Jordan-Syria border. Patric gave his condolences to the soldiers who died. “And, our prayers go out to those soldiers [from] Georgia who lost their lives,” he said.
Patrick proceeded to criticize Biden’s leadership capabilities, suggesting that he brings “death” wherever he goes. “Everywhere the president, this president, Biden moves, death comes with him: Fentanyl across the border, people drowning in the river, people killed here by MS-13; soldiers killed afar,” he said.
Reports indicate that since late 2023, there have been approximately 165 attacks on U.S. military assets. The three deceased U.S. soldiers were Sgt. William Jerome Rivers, 46, of Carrollton, Ga.; Spc. Kennedy Landon Sanders, 24, of Waycross, Ga.; and Spc. Breonna Alexsondria Moffett, 23, of Savannah, Ga. Biden has also faced harsh criticism for the haphazard withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021, where 13 service members were killed.
Patrick also pointed out the disturbing reality of drugs being smuggled into America via the southern border. The lieutenant governor also illustrated alleged collaboration between Mexican cartels and American gangs.
“[T]he cartels are working with the street gangs in America, not only to move their drugs, but they are literally sending them GPS coordinates to match-up with the people that are sending across the border. And the cartels have it made…” he said. “[Biden] is not interested in securing the border. He doesn’t care about that.”
The American Tribune recently reported on comments from the Border Patrol Union, sounding off on the Biden administration for its failures at the border. The union also slammed CNN for spewing “propaganda” for purposefully euphemistic coverage of the crisis.
“As you read this garbage from CNN it will help if you also believe unicorns are real. For example, they use phrases like “…record migration across the Western Hemisphere” as a pathetic way to try to justify Biden’s immigration catastrophe,” a social media post “Illegal immigration started going off the charts on Biden’s first day in office. There was no magical new situation around the world that caused it. Biden’s immigration policies caused it.”
The union then praised the former Trump administration for its handling of the border. “Trump did not prohibit anyone from claiming asylum. He followed the law. But he wisely didn’t release asylum claimants into the US to immediately reward them like Biden did. Trump reduced fraud, Biden caused fraud and border crime to rise to historic levels.”
