Hypocritical “Squad” Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s campaign spent $36,717 on Aline Luxury Limo Services, despite her progressive politics and fiery rhetoric on inequality. These payments, filed as “travel,” ranged from $118 to $1,326 each.
For context, she previously blasted CEOs earning “290 times more than their average worker,” called corporate greed “disgraceful,” and co-introduced the Tax Excessive CEO Pay Act with Bernie Sanders to “make the rich pay their fair share,” despite riding in limos herself.
In any case, the champaign-socialist, in a joint statement with Bernie Sanders, introduced the Tax Excessive CEO Pay Act, where she railed against the rich, “Take on corporate greed and rein in the obscene salaries of America’s top executives,” Tliab said, “Working people are sick and tired of corporate greed. It’s disgraceful that corporations continue to rake in record profits by exploiting the labor of their workers.”
Building on this point, the entitled Democrat said, “I’m proud to reintroduce the Tax Excessive CEO Pay Act with Senator Bernie Sanders to address the massive income and wealth inequality in our nation. It’s time to make the rich pay their fair share.”
Far from her only deeply ironic comment, she made hysterical comments about Trump’s budget, such as when she claimed his plan was “An act of violence against our communities.” Doubling down on her wild rhetoric, Tlaib said, “At a time of extreme income and wealth inequality, while 60% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, this budget is absolutely devastating for the working families we represent.”
Seemingly shameless, she had the gall to criticize Republican budget cuts from the back of a limo. “Republicans are literally taking food out of the mouths of hungry kids by cutting billions of dollars in nutrition assistance. And the same lawmakers who claim that we don’t have the money to feed hungry children or make sure people in our communities have the health care they need have no problem voting to send an additional $150 billion to weapons manufacturers and endless war and $170 billion to masked agents terrorizing our communities and illegally disappearing our neighbors for profit,” Tlabi whined
Concluding her absurd comments on the subject, the Michigan Democrat said, “Every member who voted to pass this disastrous budget betrayed the people they represent to serve the rich and powerful and deserves to be voted out of office.”

As we reported, his remarks about Trump’s decision to call in the National Guard were even more absurd. “We can’t be passive right now, so nobody over there should take anything we say seriously, you know, like so personally, as if we’re attacking them,” she complained.
In a cynical attempt at self-promotion, Tlaib claimed, “No, we’re attacking a process, not attacking people here. And I think it’s essential that we stand up against this fascist takeover. That’s not a bad word. It’s a fact.”
Finally, the chairman attempted to restore decorum, but Tlaib continued undeterred. “I don’t yield. I don’t even have time. I can tell you….Mr. Chairman, but you all live here, and you’re not telling people the beautiful parts that you do see in our nation’s capital. And no, no, no, it’s just wrong,” the Democrat claimed.
