Things did not go at all well for Amber Glenn, the Olympic ice skater with Team USA who tried to use her position to attack President Trump and push pro-LGBTQ+ messaging, describing herself as a “woke b*tch”, when she finally competed at the Milan Cortina Olympics. In fact, she came in a very disappointing 13th during the event, likely meaning she won’t even have a chance of getting a medal.
For reference, the event came on Tuesday, February 17, and was the women’s short program, the first of two events that is included in the competition for a medal. Glenn was competing alongside two other American skaters, Alysa Liu and Isabeau Levito. Her performance was an utter disaster, seeing her go from second to last as her event turned into a trainwreck.
In fact, reports from the event report that Glenn started off strong, successfully completing a triple axel in her routine to Madonna’s “Like a Prayer.” Things then went downhill from there, as Glenn accidentally omitted a key element of her skating routine, doing so by utterly failing to perform the required triple loop.
As a result of that, Glenn earned her a zero in the technical skill category, a significant problem. Yet worse for the woke and anti-Trump skater, after that “invalid element” moment, Glenn seems to have totally lost her confidence, and the rest of her performance was a disaster as well.
Sports Illustrated, reporting on how much of a disaster her whole performance was, noted, “With a score of 67.39 in the short program, Glenn finished in 13th place in Tuesday’s competition.” Continuing, the sports publication explained, “Her mistake cost her seven technical points from her score. It’ll be extremely difficult for her to medal on Thursday following the free skate.”
Glenn then remained on the ice to bow to the crowd after her utterly terrible performance finally drew to a conclusion, and as she did so, her face was a twisted mask of emotional pain, with the “woke b*tch” skater trying to hold back the tears that filled her eyes as she bowed and then made her way off the ice and embraced her coach while in obvious emotional distress.

As background, Glenn is the one who, in an interview, used her position as an Olympian to attack President Trump and said, “It’s been a hard time for the community overall and this administration.” She added, “It isn’t the first time that we’ve had to come together as a community and try and fight for our human rights. And now, especially, it’s not just affecting the queer community, but many other communities.”
She also said she wouldn’t stop talking about politics, saying, “I know that a lot of people say, you’re just an athlete, like, stick to your job, shut up about politics.” She added, “But politics affect us all. It is something that I will not just to be quiet about because it is something that affects us in our everyday lives.”

She further said, after doing well in the first event in which she competed, “They hate to see two woke b*tches winning. If ‘Woke’ means people who use their platforms to advocate for marginalized communities in the country that they are actively representing…… Then yeah sure?”
