Rogue FBI Agents ‘Opting Out’ Of Deportation Raids, Leaving ICE ‘Stranded’

A shocking testimony from a Federal Bureau of Investigation whistleblower revealed that rogue FBI agents are reportedly refusing to participate in deportation raids, which is making ICE operatives vulnerable without the potentially life-saving backup that they would normally expect from the FBI.

For context, an April 18, 2025, report from War Room White House correspondent Natalie Winters revealed that, according to Steve Friend, the aforementioned FBI whistleblower, leftist bureaucrat agents are ignoring calls coming directly from agency director Kash Patel and skipping missions that would put them in the field with ICE working to detain illegal aliens. Winters recounted this information to conservative political strategist Steve Bannon, her co-host on War Room.

In her report, Winters told her co-host that according to Steve Friend, “Particularly [agents] at the supervisor and management level are really working to obstruct the deportation, the mass deportation agenda.” Winters continued, “First and foremost, FBI agents, the sort of rank and file, are actually being given the option to opt out of participation in deportation raids if they do not align with their personal or political beliefs.”

Continuing, Winters explained to Bannon that leftist supervisors within the FBI were comparing ICE agents to Nazis, telling her co-host, “In at least two cases, Steve was relaying to me how a lot of these sort of left-wing FBI [agents], which are more concentrated at the management level or sort of supervisory roles, were comparing them to Nazis trying to create a culture whereby these agents wouldn’t necessarily want to participate in these raids to begin with.”

Moving on, Winters described how FBI agents in Phoenix, AZ, have been using their location as an excuse for opting out of raids. She told Bannon, “They were saying it only applied to certain cities, Chicago, New York, LA, but if you were part of a smaller city, that was sort of your justification for not having to participate.”

However, Winters clarified that when FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino visited the agency’s field office in Phoenix, “Some of the agents had wanted to invite him to participate in an ICE raid, where the FBI was going to be joining them, but supervisors there actually said, ‘No.'” Winters continued, explaining what transpired after, saying, “The supervisors in these offices said, ‘That’s not going to happen,’ and they actually ceased all deportation raid activities that day.”

Concluding, Winters referred to another situation in which rogue FBI agents subverted orders. She told Bannon, “There was one incident where there was a text chain between a staff supervisor, squad supervisor…ICE thought that the FBI was going to be coming to assist them, but the supervisor said, ‘No, that’s not going to happen,’ and left ICE without the support staff that they wanted.”

When conservative commentators Diamond and Silk shared the War Room segment on X, the comments section filled up with responses from users who were fed up with the left. In reference to the rogue FBI agents, one commenter with the handle Gynna Jenkins simply wrote, “Fire them,” and another added, “OK then, bye-bye pension and all, see ya!”
