Rep. Ilhan Omar Slammed for “Inciting Violence” after Horrific ICE Comments

Far-left “Squad” Congresswoman Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is facing immense backlash from critics for what they allege was her encouraging violence against ICE agents and other immigration enforcement personnel in the wake of two shootings involving federal immigration agents, one in Portland and the other in Minneapolis.

For reference, the Portland shooting involved two individuals who were allegedly affiliated with the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua attacking an immigration agent and being shot. The other incident involved Renee Good being shot and killed when allegedly trying to run over an ICE agent in Minneapolis. The Minneapolis incident garnered much more notoriety in the leftist press.

In fact, it received a great deal of notoriety generally, with Rep. Ilhan Omar pushing a quite horrific message about ICE in the wake of it. For example, one video from the weekend after the Renee Good shooting shows Ilhan riding on the back of a pickup truck and leading protesters through Minneapolis while chanting about making ICE “pay”.

Specifically, the far-left Squad congresswoman could be heard yelling, “We are going to show all of them the door out. And we are going to make sure that these people pay for what they have done to us!” She then continued by saying, “We are committed to this resistance!”

Ilhan Omar attacked ICE in other ways too, both on news interviews and in posts on X. In one X post, for instance, she wrote, “ICE’s Operation Metro Surge has resulted in the murder of Renee Nicole Good. It’s unjustifiable. Minnesotans deserve transparency and accountability. That means our state and local law enforcement must have a hand in this investigation.”

In another post, this one including a clip of her appearance on CBS in which she again attacked ICE and accused it of murdering Renee Good, Ilhan said, “It’s indefensible for Trump, Vance, and Noem to spread conspiracies about the woman murdered by ICE in Minneapolis. We saw it happen with our own eyes. Renee Nicole Good should be alive.”

Yet further, during an interview with Jake Tapper, Ilhan said, “ICE has been carrying out state-sanctioned violence in our communities. We have seen them terrorize so many citizens in the Fifth District and across Minnesota and that has tragically led to this murder that we all watched on TV.”

As could be predicted, Ilhan’s horrid comments about ICE led to her facing much fire from conservatives who saw it as utterly reprehensible. Benny Johnson, for example, posted the clip of her in the pickup truck, yelling about making ICE pay, and said, “Ilhan Omar is now on the ground with left-wing protestors in Minneapolis. And you guessed it, she’s encouraging violence against ICE.”

Similarly, conservative commentator Rogan O’Handley accused Ilhan of having committed immigration fraud, a claim Tom Homan has indicated could be true and is being investigated, and called for her to be deported for “inciting violence” against ICE, saying, “Enough is enough. Ilhan Omar committed a crime by lying on her immigration papers, and now she’s inciting violence against ICE.” He added, “Expel her from Congress.”
