Receipts Confirm Top DOJ Brass Vowed Epstein Transparency, Accountability Before Releasing Memo Claiming There Was no Client List

Adding fuel to the growing fire of the Epstein scandal, press accounts have confirmed that Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino all vowed that they would be fully transparent regarding Jeffrey Epstein’s secrets, calling for the FBI’s Epstein files to be made public long before the Justice Department released its polarizing July 8 memo.

For background, on July 8, 2025, the Department of Justice released a memo claiming that a “systemic review” of the Epstein files had been conducted by the FBI that led to the conclusion that there is no “incriminating ‘client list,'” that Epstein committed suicide, and that no “uncharged third parties” could be incriminated based on the files.

However, on July 13, Fox News zeroed in on statements made by AG Bondi, FBI Director Patel, and Deputy Director Bongino in the past, all of whom emphatically vowed that they would be fully transparent about the contents of the Epstein files. The outlet quoted AG Bondi saying that the “list of Jeffrey Epstein’s clients” was sitting on her desk “right now.”

Continuing, the Attorney General told Fox’s John Roberts that she was “reviewing that,” referring to the Epstein files, adding, “I’m reviewing the JFK files, the MLK files. That is all in the process of being reviewed because that was done at the directive of the president from all these agencies.” Roberts asked Bondi, “Have you seen anything that you said, ‘Oh, my gosh?'” The attorney general replied, “Not yet.”

Moreover, according to Fox, the attorney general vowed in February 2025 that President Trump’s DOJ would follow through on its “commitment to transparency and lifting the veil on the disgusting actions of Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators.” She continued, “The first phase of files released today sheds light on Epstein’s extensive network and begins to provide the public with long overdue accountability.”

Likewise, Director Patel has been adamant for years that the Epstein list should be declassified, saying in a 2023 interview, “That’s under direct control of the director of the FBI.” He added, “That’s a thing I think President Trump should run on. On day one, roll out the black book.”

In addition, Deputy Director Dan Bongino, who has publicly criticized AG Bondi and blamed her for the apparent mishandling of the Epstein debacle, had previously spoken about Epstein on his podcast, telling his listeners in May 2023, “That Jeffrey Epstein story is a big deal. Please do not let that story go. Keep your eye on it.”

Furthermore, in a post on X from 2024, Bongino said that he was “asked about some of the details surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein case,” adding, “I have reviewed the case. Jeffrey Epstein killed himself. There’s no evidence in the case file indicating otherwise.” He concluded, “I’m not asking you to believe me, or not. I’m telling you what exists, and what doesn’t. If new evidence surfaces, I’m happy to reevaluate.”
