Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), long known as and detested for being a RINO, lost by a massive margin in his runoff primary election with Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. Texas AG Paxton will now be facing down Democrat Texas candidate for U.S. Senate James Talarico in the general election in November of this year.
Talarico, however, gave the game away for Democrats and RINOs when he revealed that what Democrats are really hoping for is that the supporters of RINO John Cornyn will close ranks against MAGA and vote for him in a desperate attempt to keep Paxton out of office. If such a drift from moderate right to far left happens, it would be a massive problem for Texas Republicans.
Making his pleas for RINO support in the general election in a post on X, Talarico began with a ridiculous series of sentences in which he pretended to respect Cornyn, who he would surely be damning as an awful Republican if not for the way the primary election went, and saying, “I want to thank Senator John Cornyn for his years representing our state. We don’t agree on everything, but we both still believe in public service.”
Continuing, he then made it obvious what he wants, asking those who supported the RINO senator to join forces with him to take down and stop Ken Paxton. He wrote, “To Senator Cornyn’s supporters: you have a place in our campaign.” It remains to be seen how much bleed over there is.
Commenters on the post skewered Talarico. They left messages of derision like “We know you both are gun control supporting snakes, and we look forward to defeating you as soundly as we just destroyed him. 🫡”, “The biggest thing you have in common is weakness”, and “You’re an insane r-tard. Texas Republicans will not vote for you. You’re like Beto’s somehow more effeminate younger brother.”
Another joked, in a very detailed and gut-bustingly funny comment, “My doctors report that the lobotomy was an unqualified success. I’ve rarely felt so lucid or so intently focused on the task at hand. During recovery I chanced upon James Talarico on YouTube. His sermon made a compelling case for Jesus Christ identifying as “non-binary.” He spoke evocatively of our Lord walking a Texas street lined with pride flags, the sight warming His heart, the rainbows echoing God’s ancient promise to the people. I could picture it all so vividly that the tears simply wouldn’t stop.”
The commenter continued, in similarly hilarious fashion, “Texas has done rather well for itself with this 100% grassroots candidate who has never received so much as a kind word from the MSM… unlike his opponent, Crockett, who appeared on Colbert and claimed, rather implausibly, most likely deliberately, that CBS had blocked her appearance.”

That commenter then concluded, “One struggles to recall anyone quite so authentic. The artfully messy hair, the 100% natural grey streak perfectly positioned for the cameras, the unmistakable “visionary” stare… none of it could possibly be contrived. I can scarcely wait for the next sermon, which I understand will demonstrate how the Bible actually endorses abortion, the inclusion of Islamic teachings in public classrooms, and transgender book readings to children during after-school programs. I must thank my comrade from the Open Society for recommending this life changing procedure. It has transformed my life.”
