Notorious Democrat Al Green Loses Big in Primary Election, Gets Decimated by Almost Forty Points

In yet more awesome news out of Texas that came alongside the massive defeat of RINO John Cornyn at the hands of Texas Attorney General and MAGA candidate Ken Paxton, Texas voters rejected far-left and bufoonish Al Green, shutting him down by almost forty points in a massive and utterly humiliating primary defeat.

As background, much of Al Green’s trouble came because Texas decided to engage in a major districting plan after receiving a letter from the Department of Justice in which is argued that the state was full of districts created by “race-based gerrymandering,” and thus needed to be gotten rid of posthaste. The districts implicated were Democratic districts, including his and Jasmine Crockett’s.

That redistricting meant that Green was pitted against freshman Rep. Christian Menefee in the primary election, with both duking it out, amongst other candidates, for the Texas District 18 seat. While many might have thought the longtime incumbent would defeat one of the youngest and newest Democrats in the House, the opposite was quite true.

In fact, Green’s run against Menefee turned into an utter disaster for him. That might not have been predicted earlier on in the primary, as the first round of voting on March 3 was relatively close. Menefee got 46% of the primary vote to Green’s 44%. But, as neither got the majority, that meant they had to head to a runoff, and Green got blown out of the water.

Such is what CNN’s Decision Desk reported, noting that, with 99% of the vote totals in on the morning of Wednesday, May 26, Menefee had managed to win the election by nearly 40 points. He raked in a whopping 69.4 percent of the vote, compared to the utterly terrible 30.6 percent the eleven-term incumbent Al Green brought in. That ends Al Green’s more than two decades in the House are coming to an end.

Conservatives quickly took to social media to celebrate. Eric Daugherty, for example, wrote, “Democrat Rep. Al Green has just officially LOST his Congressional seat in Texas, after he repeatedly tried and FAILED to impeach Donald Trump. Green is also the one who PROTESTED Trump’s speech in Congress 🤡 LMAO! Good riddance, clown! This is a great night”.

Similarly, podcasters and conservative personality Benny Johnson wrote, “Rep. Al Green just LOST his primary by 37+ points. Green tried to impeach Trump 6 times, all attempts failed. He protested the State of the Union two years in a row. Now his own district rejected him. Total humiliation 🤣”

Still another conservative poster on X said, framing the matter as Trump getting revenge on the Democrat who impeached him, “21+ Year Democrat Swamp Creature Al Green has LOST his Congressional seat in Texas! How Trump did it: Due to 2025 redistricting (which made his original 9th District more Republican-leaning), he ran for the neighboring 18th District but lost the Democratic primary tonight. Don’t you love when a plan comes together?”

And One America News, pushing a somewhat less sensationalized version of the same story, said, “Longtime Texas Democrat Al Green has been defeated in his primary race, ending his congressional tenure after years in office. Green, known for his relentless push to impeach President Trump and repeated disruptions during major congressional moments, has now been removed by voters in his own party.”
