Melania Goes to Legal War with Hunter Biden in $1 Billion Lawsuit Threat after He Makes “False, Defamatory” Claims about her in Interview

In some more major bad news for the Biden family hot on the heels of the Ashley Biden divorce announcement, First Lady Melania Trump has gone to legal war with the son of former President Joe Biden, presenting notorious ne’er-do-well Hunter Biden. Her legal team has presented him with a whopping $1 billion legal notice over what she claims are “false, defamatory, disparaging, and inflammatory statements” he made about her.

As background, the allegedly defamatory and lie-filled comments were made by Hunter Biden when he appeared for an interview with YouTuber Andrew Callaghan on August 6. The son of the former president was, within days of the interview going live, presented with a demand from Melania’s legal team that he either immediately remove and retract his comments or face the massive legal action.

Such is what Alejandro Brito, who is attorney serving as litigation counsel for First Lady Melania Trump, demanded in in a letter to Hunter Biden’s attorney, Abbe Lowell. In the letter, Brito demanded that Hunter Biden “immediately retract the false, defamatory, disparaging and inflammatory statements made about Mrs. Trump” that he made during the interview with Callaghan.

For reference, Hunter made the same claims that have led to forced retractions from other media figures. In the interview, titled “Hunter Biden Returns,” the former first son claimed “Epstein introduced Melania to Trump. The connections are, like, so wide and deep.” He added, “Jeffrey Epstein introduced Melania, and that’s how Melania and the first lady and the President met.” That is false.

So, Brito went scorched earth in his letter to Lowell, demanding immediate and public action from Hunter Biden over his allegations. “These false, disparaging, defamatory, and inflammatory statements are extremely salacious and have been widely disseminated throughout various digital mediums,” Brito said.

Continuing, Brito insisted, “Indeed, the video has since been re-published by various media outlets, journalists, and political commentators with millions of social media followers that have disseminated the false and defamatory statements therein to tens of millions of people worldwide.”

Adding to that, Brito set up the justification for the massive damages demanded of Hunter Biden from Melania, noting that the defamatory, false claims about Epstein could cause her immense harm. He wrote, “Consequently, you have caused Mrs. Trump to suffer overwhelming financial and reputational harm.”

Still not done, the First Lady’s attorney noted that the source on which the former first son relied was “serial fabulist Michael Wolff, whose lies were published by The Daily Beast in the article titled ‘Melania Trump ‘very involved’ in Epstein Scandal: Author.’” Brito added, “Following receipt of our cease-and-desist demand letter just a week ago, The Daily Beast issued an apology to Mrs. Trump and retracted the false and defamatory statements contained in the article by deleting it in its entirety.”

Brito then wrote that Hunter irresponsibly kept pushing Wolff’s defamatory claims despite the fact that they were false and retracted, saying, “Despite this, you have unjustifiably relied upon Mr. Wolff’s false, defamatory, disparaging, and inflammatory statements about Mrs. Trump and maliciously elected to republish them.”

Adding to that, the legal notice called out Hunter for trying to drum up money with scandal. Brito said, “The timing of this video is evident and underscores the actual malice behind the decision to publish it given the plain falsity of the statements. Given your vast history of trading on the names of others—including your surname—for your personal benefit, it is obvious that you published these false and defamatory statements about Mrs. Trump to draw attention to yourself.”

Making his demand, Brito demanded that Hunter “immediately issue a full and fair retraction of the video and any and all other false, defamatory, disparaging, misleading, and inflammatory statements about Mrs. Trump in as conspicuous a manner as they were originally published” and issue a formal apology “for the false, defamatory, disparaging, misleading and inflammatory statements about Mrs. Trump.”

Concluding, Brito noted that Hunter faces a massive suit if he doesn’t back down, saying, “If you do not comply with the above by August 7, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. EST, Mrs. Trump will be left with no alternative but to enforce her legal and equitable rights, all of which are expressly reserved and are not waived, including by filing legal action for over $1 Billion Dollars in damages. You are on notice.”

Hunter, for his part, has bizarrely decided he won’t retract his claim. “F*ck that,” he said. Watch him here:
