Chris Rock just came out with a new comedy special in which he savages all the leftist totems. He brutalizes Meghan Markle for being the way she is, hammers woke advertising for being absurd, and, of course, makes fun of Will Smith now that we’re approaching the one-year anniversary of the infamous slap. Those jokes were non-politically correct, unapologetic, and just the sort of thing to utterly infuriate the online left.
During his comments on woke advertising, for instance, he said “I was in the mall the other day, I went by the store Lululemon, I walk by and in the window of every Lululemon there’s a sign that says, ‘we don’t support racism, sexism, discrimination, or hate.’ And I’m like, ‘who gives a f***?’ You’re just selling yoga pants. I don’t need your yoga pants politics.”
Then, in a bit on political correctness and people being “hurt” by words, he said “I’m gonna try to do a show tonight without offending nobody. K? I’m gonna try my best. You know why? You never know who might get triggered. That’s right. You say the wrong things, motherfuckers get scared. You gotta watch out. You know what people say — they always say — ‘words hurt. Anybody that says that words hurt has never been punched in the face. Words hurt when you write them on a brick.”
He also tore into people for pretending to be woke and outraged while using technology made by child slaves, saying “The thing I have a problem with is the selective outrage. Motherf***ers typing out woke a*s tweets on a phone made by child slaves. Not only is everybody full of s***, every business is full of s***.”
Predictably, the left was outraged by his remarks. A leftist professor and Twitter personality named Uju Anya, a leftie loon whose bio says “
Professor. Field: applied linguistics. Antiracist, feminist, 🏳️🌈⚢🏳️🌈 Research: Language learning+teaching, Blackness in multilingualism. Views are mine.“, led the charge on that front. She did so with a tweet
saying “
Netflix keeps screwing over subscribers. They cancel hit shows people actually wanna watch and give Chris Rock millions of dollars to prove Will Smith was right to slap him.“
Outraged leftists flocked to that tweet to agree with her and attack Rock for making a few jokes that weren’t overtly leftist in material or intent, saying things like:
“At this point, it’s safe to argue that the powers-that-be at Netflix only crave media sensationalism. And nothing of true infotainment.”
“I have spent thousands of hours of my life helping my mother and grandmother maintain their hair. Will Smith slapped Chris Rock on behalf of every black women in America 😂”
“I thought the same thing. I was like if I was Will Smith I’d slap his b*tch ass too. I usually don’t condone violence but I’d make an exception.”
“Years!!! All she did was exist as a woman Chris Rock desires and covets. That’s it. Jada has the nerve to love, marry, and fuck people who are not Chris Rock, and he will never stop attacking and insulting her for it.”
Unfortunately, Uju wasn’t the only one to be outraged. NBC News personality Ben Collins was as well,
saying “
Got 14 minutes into the Chris Rock special before my subconscious took over, said “okay that’s enough” out loud and turned my whole TV off. Pure animal instinct defending against hearing the same joke for the 8,000th time. My soul was dying and took control of my physical self.“
