In a shameless display of leftist hypocrisy, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) has come under fire after making aggressive comments about Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), stirring up controversy by calling for physical violence against Sen. Cruz, a reckless move that was met with a stern warning from U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi.
For context, Rep. Crockett made her now-infamous statements in an interview on NBC Dallas-Fort Worth’s Lone Star Politics segment, where she sat down with hosts Phil Prazan and Gromer Jeffers on March 23, 2025, and displayed aggressive opposition towards President Trump and Republicans at large, zeroing in on Sen. Ted Cruz at a critical point in the interview.
During the interview, Crockett was asked a question about how Democrats like her could win elections in the famously red state of Texas. Responding, she implied that using aggressive tactics was the only way to come out on top, saying, “I think that you punch, I think you punch, I think you OK (sic) with punching.”
Continuing, Rep. Crockett singled out Rep. Ted Cruz, a noteworthy conservative policymaker, as one of the Republicans who would be on the receiving end of her “punching.” Explaining in vivid detail to the interviewers, Crockett said, “It’s Ted Cruz. I mean, like, this due has to be knocked over the head, like, hard, right? Like, there is no niceties with him, like at all. Like, you go clean off on him.”
Explaining further, Crockett made the case that the Democratic party needs to assert that it is not weak, explaining to the interviewers, “I don’t know that anybody believes that we’re not weak,” and added, “It’s not only important to do the work, but it’s important to brag about the work.”
Moving on, one of the interviewers asked Rep. Crockett about how she and fellow Democrats would respond to “culture war” issues and their impact on Americans voting blue. Confusingly, Crockett responded, “What [Republicans] have decided to do is distract [Americans]. They have decided to play you, because they have nothing to offer you.”
In the wake of Rep. Crockett’s comments, the woke politician was addressed directly by Attorney General Pam Bondi, who, according to press accounts, told Rep. Crockett to “tread very carefully.” Scrambling, Crockett attempted to qualify her statements, saying that her calls for aggression against Republicans were “nonviolent.”

In response to Crockett’s controversial comments, conservatives took to X to weigh in on the leftist politician’s hypocrisy. The White House’s “Rapid Response 47” X account, which posted a clip of Crockett’s interview, wrote: “Here’s another unhinged Democrat inciting violence,” and conservative commentator Nick Sortor added, “Jasmine Crockett is ONCE AGAIN inciting violence against Republicans. They know what they’re doing. Mentally ill leftists take this as a call to action.”
