“I Thought His Bedtime was Much Earlier”: Leavitt Hilariously Roasts Brandon After He Tries Attacking Trump in Speech [WATCH]

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt savagely roasted Joe Biden ahead of the former president’s first public remarks since leaving office, with Leavitt ruthlessly mocking the 82-year-old for delivering a speech late at night given his extremely old age, echoing earlier comments from former White House aides about Biden’s frequent struggles with fatigue.

For context, the comments from Leavitt came shortly before Biden was scheduled to give a speech at the National Conference of Advocates, Counselors, and Representatives for the Disabled in Chicago on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, with his address slated to focus on protecting Social Security. Leavitt’s laugh at Biden’s expense was far from the first time that the former president has been called out for his frequent fatigue, with Biden frequently being called “Sleepy Joe” by conservatives.

During a daily press briefing, Leavitt took questions about the Trump Administration’s plan to withhold federal grants and contracts from Harvard University, as well as deportations and a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine, along with responding to an inquiry about Biden’s first public address since leaving office. Without missing a beat, Leavitt cheerfully responded, “I’m shocked that he’s speaking at nighttime; I thought his bedtime was much earlier.”

Continuing her response, Leavitt made it clear to the press that protecting Social Security benefits was a major priority for President Trump. She said, “Let me be very clear ahead of former President Biden’s remarks: this president, President Trump, is absolutely certain about protecting Social Security benefits for law-abiding, taxpaying American citizens and seniors who paid into this program.”

Moving on, Leavitt added that President Trump has earned a reputation for protecting Social Security benefits, explaining, “[President Trump] will always protect that program. He campaigned on it, he protected it in his first term, and he’s back again to continue protecting it.”

Following Leavitt’s brutal roast, Biden made his speech in front of roughly 200 people, disrespectfully referring to President Trump as “this guy” throughout, according to The National News Desk. In addition, Biden described the Trump administration as doing “so much damage and destruction” and said that President Trump had “taken a hatchet to the Social Security Administration.”

Continuing his speech, Biden attempted to rally the crowd, saying, “We can’t go on like this as a divided nation, as divided as we are. As I’ve said, I’ve been doing this for a long time. It’s never been this divided.” Callously calling out Trump supporters, Biden concluded, “Granted, it’s roughly 30 percent, but it’s a 30 percent that has no heart.”

When NTD News shared coverage of Biden’s speech on X, conservatives took to the comments section to express their distaste with the former president. One user with the handle Barnabas wrote, “😂He should be in prison already!” Another added, “He looked like the Crypt Keeper,” with another commenter chiming in, “Career politicians have been mismanaging our Social Security Funds for decades! It’s time to deal with the government waste and corruption!”
