The far-left deputy mayor of Los Angeles got his home raided by FBI agents after he allegedly made a bomb threat against LA’s City Hall building, which led to an ongoing investigation of the woke official, who was also placed on administrative leave in response to his unhinged conduct.
For context, on December 19, 2024, press accounts confirmed that Deputy Mayor Brian Williams of Los Angeles had his house raided by FBI agents after he reportedly called in a bomb threat to City Hall, the building where he works directly under Mayor Karen Bass. Following the investigation, the FBI refused to comment further on what they found at Williams’s home.
Furthermore, the LA Times reported that Williams had called in the threat by sending a text message to Mayor Barr and several other city officials, saying, “Bomb threat: I received phone call on my city cell at 10:48 am this morning. The male caller stated that he was tired of the city support of Israel, and he has decided to place a bomb in City Hall. It might be in the rotunda.”
Continuing in his message, Williams claimed that he had “immediately contacted the chief of staff of LAPD” in response to the threat, adding, “They are going to send a number of officers over to do a search of the building and to determine if anyone else received a threat.” In a later text message, Williams reportedly said that he was “meeting with the threat management officers within the next 10 minutes.”
After Williams called in the bomb threat, the FBI reportedly searched Williams’s home, with Deputy Mayor of Communications Zach Seidl telling the press that the FBI’s investigation led to the conclusion that “there was no immediate danger.” Seidl added, “The mayor takes this matter very seriously.” In addition, the LAPD stated that “no additional information is being released” following the FBI’s raid.
Furthermore, on June 3, 2025, federal prosecutors announced that former Deputy Mayor Williams was pleading guilty to making the bomb threat. In response, Bill Essayli, the U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California, condemned Williams’s actions, saying, “In an era of heated political rhetoric that has sometimes escalated into violence, we cannot allow public officials to make bomb threats.”
In addition, one of Williams’s attorneys, Dmitry Gorin, told the LA Times that Williams “has demonstrated his unreserved and full acceptance of responsibility for his actions” following his decision to plead guilty. The attorney added, “This aberrational incident was the product of personal issues which Mr. Williams is addressing appropriately, and is not representative of his character or dedication to the city of Los Angeles.”
