Multi-company CEO Elon Musk recently commented on President Biden’s disastrous debate performance, suggesting it was a plot to replace him as the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee ahead of the upcoming election. Since the debate, many Democrats in the mainstream media have called for Biden to abandon his reelection bid.
Musk responded to a post on X from Silicon Valley entrepreneur David Sacks, who lambasted CNN commentators who he alleged betrayed their loyalty to Biden in the aftermath of the debate. “Watching the CNN commentators put the knife in Biden’s back is actually sickening. No loyalty. No remorse. It’s just gross,” Sacks said. Musk replied, “They’re just talking puppets. It was a setup for a switch.”
According to the recent data analysis, it makes sense why many in the Democratic Party would be interested in having another candidate take on former President Trump, who appears to have an edge over Biden based on some metrics. Throughout Biden’s presidency, as the oldest sitting president in U.S. history, he has displayed concerning signs that he may not be mentally or physically fit for the critical duties required of the commander-in-chief.
Health concerns aside, many have criticized Biden’s presidential record on some of the most important issues. For example, economic sentiment among voters is extremely pessimistic as Americans have endured record inflation and high interest rates under Biden. Furthermore, millions of illegal immigrants have poured over the southern border.
University of Virginia Center for Politics Director Larry Sabato appeared on CNN last week, where he explained how the race between Biden and Trump is “no longer close,” so much so that Sabato dispelled the notion that Biden could make up ground by performing more interviews and hosting additional rallies.“I don’t think [President Biden] can change the dynamic with one interview,” he said.
Sabato continued, “I suppose you’d say stop the bleeding and the bleeding has been bad. I mean, we’ve been looking at all the data coming in, all the surveys — some public, some private — and it’s bad. Democrats need to understand that things are not stable and it is no longer close. The race between Biden and Trump is no longer close.”
The analyst further highlighted the damning results of plummeting poll numbers for Biden. “Just take the four last week, including CNN’s poll — all of them were in agreement, which you rarely see even with well-conducted polls: Biden, who was really maybe even, maybe two points behind Trump, is now — at least in unison in these polls — six points behind. That’s millions and millions of voters. And what is it that’s going to restore them? A good interview, a good rally? Come on,” he said.
The American Tribune recently reported on other political news surrounding Elon Musk, where the billionaire entrepreneur suggested he would host Donald Trump for a townhall on X. Musk said, “This will be interesting,” when speaking about the event. Musk has consistently made headlines for making seemingly conservative remarks. Watch comments from the Tesla founder, who blasts the leftist regulatory environment in California that stifles innovation.
