Dallas Cowboy’s Star, Micah Parsons, Lashes Out At Joe Biden Following Griner Deal

Even in sports leagues that mainly align with the left politically, President Joe Biden has managed to piss off a star player on the Dallas Cowboys with his latest action, a prisoner swap involving WNBA star Brittney Griner and Russian international arms dealer Viktor Bout.

Micah Parsons, an outside linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys, took to Twitter to voice his immense displeasure with the deal. In response to a tweet breaking the news of the 1-for-1 prisoner swap, Parsons had this to say.

“Wait nah!! We left a marine?!! Hell nah.”

And he wasn’t done there. In a tweet shared by Fox News that has since been deleted, Parsons took a direct shot at Joe Biden. Following the President’s tweet sharing the news of Griner’s eventual homecoming, Parson hilariously dismantled the Tweet from Brandon’s account.

“We still not voting for you!”

I couldn’t have said it better myself, Micah. If America hadn’t just freed a terrorist who sought to kill large quantities of Americans, this epic failure of foreign policy and public relations would be hilarious television.

Parsons even went as far as to clarify that these Tweets were, in fact, direct shots at the President in case anyone misunderstood or thought they were sarcastic.

“My last tweet was no shot at Brittney Griner. I’m super happy she’s back home as she should be. I just have family who have served and it’s crazy to me the President wouldn’t bring him home too. I’m the furthest thing from a trump supporter but I’m not a fan of Biden either.”

Parsons is not alone this weekend in wondering why there this administration seemingly valued an athlete over a former serviceman. Having family that served must only exacerbate the sting that the Griner deal caused many Americans.

Paul Whelan is a former US Marine who is being held in Russia on a 16-year prison sentence after being accused of espionage in 2018. The President and his spokeswoman, Karine Jean-Pierre, say that those charges are completely bogus but they were unable to strike a deal for him with the Kremlin.

Of course, as with all good things, this came to an end shortly after the initial Tweets. It seems that someone got into Parsons’ ear and told him to stop being critical of the Democrats, or else…

2 hours after Parsons’ initial Tweet, he came clean with an apology for his earlier words.

“Just spoke to some people that I respect and trust. I should have been more educated on the topic and not tweeted out of emotion for my family and other who have served. For that I apologize. Also if what I’m told about the attempts to bring Ret Marine Paul Whelan home are true then the best outcome was accomplished. I pray Mr. Whelan comes home but am extremely happy for Brittney and her family.  I am not too prideful to admit when I’ve made a mistake.”
