A disgraced J6 prosecutor has come came under fire from conservatives after footage was shared online of her bursting into tears during a testimony given to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, which led commenters to savagely roast her outburst online and describe her as “clearly not stable enough” to maintain the responsibilities of a government official.
For context, Sara Levine, a now-fired assistant U.S. attorney, testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary on April 30, 2025, describing her experience working on dozens of cases related to the events at the U.S. Capitol building on January 6, 2021. Levine, who was reportedly fired by United States Attorney for the District of Columbia Ed Martin, cried throughout her statement, which fiercely criticized Martin and the Trump Administration.
During her testimony, Levine said that she was fired after U.S. Attorney Ed Martin was given “permission to fire probationary employees from the Capitol Siege Section,” which included Levine. In addition, according to a press release published by the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary, Levine explained that she worked on “about 40 cases” related to J6.
In addition, Levine said that after U.S. Attorney Martin was given clearance to make terminations, “15 U.S. attorneys, assistant U.S. attorneys, had been fired,” including herself. She added, “The termination letter I received stated the decision was based on your actions and the prosecution of persons relating to the events that occurred at or near the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.”
Following her testimony, Levine’s statements were posted online by the Senate Judiciary Democrats X page on April 30, 2025, which wrote, U.S. Attorneys represent the United States of America, not the President.” In response, conservatives fired back in the comments, with the X user whiskeyvice writing, “Don’t care. You suspended civil rights and due process for those unarmed US Citizens. You were politically persecuting them.”
Continuing, whiskeyvice’s X comment, which got over 5,000 likes on the platform, read, “You were not looking out for the US. You were acting politically (with the full weight and force of the illegally applied United States government). You were using public resources to further your party. That’s worse. You know it and we know it.” Another commenter chimed in, “Good riddance to her! America is better off without her.”
Next, the backlash against Levine grew when, on May 1, 2025, conservative influencer Amuse reposted the fired prosecutor’s statements on X, describing her hiring as “DEI” and adding, “This January 6th Prosecutor is clearly not stable enough to hold a position of power within the DOJ. Thankfully, General Bondi fired her. She has no business prosecuting Americans.”

In response to Amuse’s searing critique of Levine, commenters sounded off on X, with the user RubyTubee writing, “Liberals are so emotional…they can never be trusted with power.” Another user was harsher, saying, “Does she think this gets her sympathy? It just proves what we already know, that these people in power are pure psychopaths and completely unhinged.” They added, “Thank God she was fired. We have a long way to go if all these people are still in government. FIRE THEM ALL!”
