Businesses, Particularly Restaurants, that Refuse to Serve ICE Agents Get Walloped by Angry American Responses Who Use Clever Tactics to Make Them Pay for Anti-ICE Attitudes

Earlier this year, restaurants in the United States learned the hard way that the vast majority of Americans, who aren’t all-in on either political party, are not on board with the hatred for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) that liberals have been spreading ever since President Donald Trump started his crackdown on illegal immigration.

One such individual is restaurant owner Anton Kinloch of the Lone Wolf, a craft cocktail bar and restaurant located in Kingston, New York. In January 2026, Kinloch put a sign out on the sidewalk in front of his business that said, in big, bold letters, “WE LOVE ICE IN OUR DRINKS. WE DON’T LOVE ICE IN REAL LIFE. SOLIDARITY ALWAYS.”

When liberal activists were calling for businesses to shut down and stand with illegal aliens in “solidarity” against federal immigration authorities, Kinloch and his wife and business partner, Lisa Dy, opted to stay open and donate a portion of their profit for the night to a local immigration advocacy group. A few hours after putting up the sign, Kinloch found it had been vandalized and tossed into the street.

According to a report from The Guardian, Kinloch found the sign was splintered and its chalkboard surface shattered, apparently having been run over by a car several times earlier in the day. He also claimed that he received a half-dozen derogatory comments after posting support for illegal aliens on his social media account.

“I spoke to other business owners in the area, and they said that they had received similar threats,” he told the outlet. “They also saw a decline in their social media followers after speaking out. People were unfollowing them, blocking them and sending them hate messages.” Jamie Kenyon, the executive chef and partner of Bottino, located in New York City, revealed that just minutes after posting a pro-illegal alien message on his restaurant’s social media page, he received a nasty phone call.

The stranger on the phone allegedly displayed a mastery of the art of obscenity, going on to condemn the establishment’s post on social media. The post was written to explain why the business would remain open, saying, “We are all immigrants.” Kenyon also announced plans to donate 15% of sales to the National Immigration Justice Center.

One commenter responded to the post, saying, “One less place to visit. Maybe when some illegal sets you on fire, you’ll grasp why.” Along with that, the restaurant got two scorching one-star reviews on Google in rapid succession. “Their horrendous values and morals do not represent us. They are extremely hateful and immoral. Would not go here under any circumstances,” the reviewer said.

Pizza Matta, a restaurant located in Chicago’s Logan Square, also had an encounter with a pro-ICE American. A dispute over the immigration issue led Jason Vincent, the store’s co-owner, to deny an ICE supporter service, who he claims had been leaving the business harassing and politically charged messages on social media platform Instagram for several months.

Things got serious when the customer entered the establishment to eat. After the two got into an intense exchange, Vincent demanded the person leave the premises. “I refuse to cook for fascists and their enablers,” he told The Guardian. Vincent then said that he reserves the right to deny service to anyone with a MAGA hat or pro-ICE t-shirt.
