The woke attacks on Jason Aldean’s new song, “Try That in a Small Town,” are continuing as the left tries and fails to cancel the highly successful song, one that’s topping the iTunes charts as conservatives find and support it to support a conservative entertainer. But, as those attacks ramp up, Aldean and his wife aren’t backing down, nor are their fans.
So, as the attacks continue and the singer and his fans remain unrepentant, Brittany Aldean took to Instagram to thank the fans for sticking around instead of fleeing when the left attacked, saying, “Man do we love y’all. 💛 Free thinkers, lions not sheep… thankful for the support, always!”
Predictably, fans flocked to Brittany Aldean’s post to share their support. One, for example, noted the irony of the situation, writing, “They really tried it in a small town and it backfired. Turn out small town folks have a big influence. ❤️”
Another said that the attacks on the song show that it’s a good one with a good message, and that’s just why the usual suspects hate it, writing, “You know you’re doing something right when the left “tries” to cancel you!! You guys are awesome 😎”
Still another connected Aldean and his message to Trump and his, writing that the left’s radical and woke agenda needs to be stopped before it’s too late: “Sick of the woke BS agenda. So proud of you and Jason for speaking TRUTH and not being afraid to support President Trump and take a stand for freedom 🇺🇸”
Yet another commenter argued that those furious with CMT for canceling the video should boycott it while also supporting Aldean, writing, “Boycott CMT! Shame on them! After all they are supposed to be behind country music which upholds American values…like in a small town! Very disgusted w all the negativity when in actuality the song is perfect! 🔥❤️”
Another wrote that it’s ridiculous Aldean is being attacked for an anti-rioting song that simply shows footage of real riots in the music video, writing, “So it’s now considered controversial to show events that actually happened, to want to protect yourself from crime and to be against burning the American flag … but if the video had a few drag queens reading to kids that would have been totally acceptable ! 💪🇺🇸”
Then came the comment noting that it is absurd that critics will criticize Jason Aldean and his song for being anti-riot while songs with disgusting lyrics encouraging illegal behavior are promoted, saying, “Please fire back at these critics! Where is all the outrage when it comes to rap & hip-hop music?!?! That genre of music has some of the most disgusting & visceral lyrics. Let them try to keep playing the race card and see how far they get!!!”
In addition to sending Brittany messages of support on Instagram, Aldeans fans have responded by sending the song so hated by the left to the very top of the iTunes charts, with all the financial rewards for Aldean that means.
