Former White House official and One America News personality Camryn Kinsey, the Fox News Channel guest who collapsed live on air when speaking to FNC host Jonathan Hunt on Thursday, May 8, opened up to the New York Post about what happened and what her next steps are after the shocking incident that went viral online.
As background, Kinsey’s collapse on air moment came when, on the Thursday broadcast of “Fox News @ Night” she and Hunt discussed former President Joe Biden’s comments on ABC’s “The View” about Kamala Harris’s electoral defeat to President Trump, comments that he had made earlier in the day and made quite a fool of himself with.
Kinsey, commenting on Biden’s embarrassing behavior and absurd comments, said, “This is what they have to do, they have to rewrite history because they had a failed campaign, they had a failed presidency. They put her as the border czar. She never went to the border. So this is about incompetency. It’s not about, uh, ideology.” She then went from stumbling over her words and losing track of what she was saying to tumbling out of her chair, falling off of it and onto the floor as the cameras rolled.
Hunt watched her fall and did not get up to help her or try to break her fall. However, he looked extremely shaken, then quickly ended the segment and cut to a commercial break while handing the show off to another presenter so that he and the staff could focus on Kinsey, saying, “We’re just going to get some help here for Camryn.”
Kinsey did not comment on the incident immediately afterwards, whether in a statement to any media outlet or on social media, but then spoke to the New York Post about what happened and what she is thinking following the scary moment. She said that she was suffering from extreme dehydration when she collapsed and is thankful so many people were wishing her well after what happened.
Commenting to the New York Post on what happened, Kinsey, who is just 24 years old, said that it was scary, but really she feels bad for those viewers and FNC personnel who watched what happened and were shocked. She said, “It was very scary. I honestly felt worse for the audience and the Fox News crew that was helping me than I than I did myself.”
She added that seeing so many well-wishers really buoyed her spirits, saying, “You think about it, you’re like, ‘Do I wanna go back on TV?’ But knowing that I have so many people in my corner, who are genuinely concerned for my well-being and want to see me keep going … that’s anything that I could ever want.”

Then, describing what happened, Kinsey said that “severe dehydration” was to blame, adding, “I did feel it coming on.” She added that the way she fell, landing on her shoulder, protected her from suffering any real damage, saying, “I’m grateful my shoulder actually broke the fall, so there’s no concussion or bruising.”
She then again thanked all those who supported her, including God, saying, “It was hard to hear my family so concerned, and I can only imagine what that looks like in real time — for my family and my friends and everyone watching. It was very shocking, but on the flip side of it I’m very blessed that the Lord was watching over me and I have such an incredible support system.”

Kinsey also wrote about the matter in a post on X, saying, “Wow, sorry for the scare last night. I want to start by thanking the incredible Fox News team and the EMTs who responded with such speed and care. It was an unexpected and frightening moment, but thanks to their professionalism and kindness, I’m doing well.”
She added, “To everyone who has called, texted, prayed, or checked in, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support has meant the world. I’m taking it slow, staying hydrated, letting my body rest, and thanking the Lord that everything is okay. It may not have been how I planned to end the segment, but I’ll be back on your TV soon. Hopefully long enough to finally finish my point about Kamala!”
