In a moving exchange, President Donald Trump asked RFK Jr. to share how he felt about the news that government files pertaining to the assassination of Kennedy’s father were soon to be released, with RFK Jr. sharing his gratitude to President Trump and affirming that the world needs to know the truth about what happened to RFK Sr.
For context, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard recently told President Trump that she had a team working tirelessly to review documents related to the assassinations of Robert F. Kennedy Sr. and Martin Luther King Jr. and that these documents would soon be made public once Gabbard’s team has confirmed that their work is done.
Director Gabbard revealed this game-changing information during a Cabinet meeting on Thursday, April 10, 2025, and President Trump immediately asked RFK Jr. to weigh in. President Trump asked RFK Jr. how the revelation made him feel, making an uncharacteristically heartfelt remark to Secretary Kennedy: “That’s hitting close to home, isn’t it?”
In response, RFK Jr. was quick to show his gratitude and appreciation to President Trump, replying, “I’m very gratified to you,” before clarifying that he was fully supportive of the release of the previously classified documents. In response, President Trump showed his support for RFK Jr., saying, “I’m thinking about Bobby when that statement’s made.”
Following this exchange, Director Gabbard went on to provide additional background regarding the extensive investigation into the assassinations of RFK Sr. and MLK Jr., Gabbard explained that her team had gathered a wealth of information, saying, “Everything that we have within our possession, it’s either online or it’s physically at the National Archives and Records Agency.”
Continuing, Director Gabbard confirmed that her team is actively continuing to investigate further to make sure that every piece of information about the assassinations is uncovered. She told President Trump, “We also have hunters going out, Mr. President, and looking in the storage lockers at FBI, and CIA, and other agencies, specifically to find if there are —if there is anything else that has not been reported, we’re actively going out and trying to search out the truth.”
In response to Director Gabbard, President Trump showed his overwhelming support for the investigation, making it clear that he wholeheartedly believes that it is time for the American people to know the truth. He told Gabbard, “Yeah, we want to get it all out, 100%, good. Thank you very much — good job.”
