A new report has revealed that former President Bill Clinton, along with a group of multiple notable billionaires and executives, were connected to Jeffrey Epstein and were close enough to the financier and serial predator to leave him bizarre notes in a birthday album that was presented to him prior to his arrest in 2006.
For background, on July 24, 2025, press accounts confirmed that former President Bill Clinton, along with several prominent figures in the business world, left messages in a leather-bound album that was presented as a special gift for the infamous child predator Jeffrey Epstein. Other names featured in the album reportedly included billionaire Leon Black and media mogul Mort Zuckerman.
According to the Wall Street Journal, which broke the story, Epstein’s birthday album, which was assembled by his former girlfriend Ghislane Maxwell, included a note from Bill Clinton that read, “It’s reassuring isn’t it, to have lasted as long, across all the years of learning and knowing, adventures and [illegible word], and also to have your childlike curiosity, the drive to make a difference and the solace of friends.”
Importantly, the Journal previously reported that President Donald Trump had also sent a birthday letter to Epstein that was featured in the infamous album, which the president dismissed as a false claim and a defamation lawsuit. According to the Journal, President Trump’s lawyers alleged that the newspaper “concocted this story to malign President Trump’s character and integrity and deceptively portray him in a false light,”
Moreover, a spokesperson for Dow Jones & Co., the parent company of the Wall Street Journal, responded to the lawsuit from President Trump by saying, “We have full confidence in the rigor and accuracy of our reporting, and will vigorously defend against any lawsuit.” Moreover, President Trump said of the note, “It’s not my language. It’s not my words.”
After the news about former President Clinton’s connections to Epstein broke, President Trump directed reporters away from him and towards Clinton and others, telling the press, “You ought to be speaking about Larry Summers. You ought to be speaking about some of his friends that are hedge fund guys.” He added, “They’re all over the place. You ought to be speaking about Bill Clinton.”
Additionally, speaking about the Epstein case on July 14, 2025, President Trump appeared to downplay the general public’s concerns about the late financier, saying, “He’s dead for a long time. He was never a big factor in terms of life. I don’t understand what the interest or what the fascination is. I really don’t, and the credible information’s been given.”

Furthermore, the lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal’s parent company and the revelations about former President Clinton came after President Trump ordered Attorney General Pam Bondi to “produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval!” However, on July 23, 2025, U.S. District Judge Robin Rosenberg in West Palm Beach, Florida, blocked the president’s order.
