AOC Could Be “Sued into Bankruptcy” after Latest Libelous Lies about President Trump

AOC is facing fire from conservatives after she posted extremely inflammatory and libelous statements on X regarding President Trump, leading one legal analyst to say that the woke congresswoman should be “sued into bankruptcy” by the president for her slanderous comments.

For background, on July 11, 2025, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) lashed out against President Trump on X after the Justice Department issued a controversial memo regarding the Jeffrey Epstein Files. In response to the polarizing release of the memo, AOC called President Trump a “rapist,” saying that his alleged misdeeds had “complicated the release of the Epstein Files.” Conservatives shot back at the congresswoman, saying that she could be held legally responsible for libel.

In her viral X post, which got over 26 million views on the platform, AOC sarcastically wrote, “Wow who would have thought that electing a rapist would have complicated the release of the Epstein Files?” According to Fox News, legal analyst Phil Holloway shot back at the woke congresswoman, saying, “The President should sue AOC into bankruptcy. I realize she’s trying to raise her profile but this is way way too far.”

In addition, multiple Republican lawmakers expressed their extreme distaste towards AOC online, with Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) writing, “Even under the ridiculously lenient standards of NY Times v. Sullivan, you’ve managed to incur defamation liability.” He added, “Wow.” Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) retorted, “Why didn’t you guys release the Epstein files over the last 4 years? Maybe you were too busy covering for Joe Biden… or, could it have something to do with another former Democrat President?”

AOC’s controversial comments were posted just days after the Justice Department released a memo claiming that there was no “incriminating ‘client list'” present in the Epstein Files, a claim that led to major backlash from all sides of the political spectrum. The memo even prompted FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino to threaten to resign unless Attorney General Pam Bondi, who Bongino views as being responsible for the apparent mishandling of the Epstein case, is fired.

However, in response to Deputy Director Bongino’s concerns, conservative podcaster and former Fox News personality Tucker Carlson was extremely critical of AG Bondi, saying that Bondi’s mishandling of the Epstein files “wrecks Dan’s career,” adding, “It’s going to be very hard to go back to his podcast audience and be like, ‘I’m telling you the truth,’ when they all think that he’s covering up for Epstein.”

On the other hand, President Trump defended Attorney General Bondi in a Truth Social post published on July 12, 2025, saying, “They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening.” The president continued, “We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and ‘selfish people’ are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein.”

The president went on to say that if there was anything in the Epstein files that “could have hurt the MAGA movement,” it would have been released by the previous administration, adding, “LET PAM BONDI DO HER JOB — SHE’S GREAT! The 2020 Election was Rigged and Stolen, and they tried to do the same thing in 2024 — That’s what she is looking into as AG, and much more.”
