It is a great day for America and Texas, as Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has blown RINO Senator John Cornyn out of the water in the state’s run-off primary election for who will be the Republican candidate in the midterm elections this fall, in which one Texas Senate seat–the one currently held by Cornyn–is up for re-election.
As background, the Paxton-Cornyn Senate race was somewhat neck in neck, with Cornyn at least close behind Paxton for much of it, but opened dramatically after President Trump chose to endorse AG Paxton rather than the sitting senator. That then helped AG Paxton open an even healthier lead against the RINO competitor, which paid off bigly in the midterms.
And Paxton’s efforts have paid off hugely, as with pretty much all of the votes tallied, it appears that he garnered a whopping 64 percent of the vote to Cornyn’s measly 36 percent, a massive margin of victory that shows how much Texas voters despised the sitting senator. He is now only the second incumbent GOP senator to lose his primary since 2012, with Bill Cassidy in Louisiana, who recently lost, being the first.
President Trump, congratulating Paxton for his victory and trying to be somewhat conciliatory with Cornyn, said, “Congratulations to Ken Paxton on such a tremendous win, and to John Cornyn for having run a strong and powerful race but, more importantly, having had a truly great career. John will remain my friend for a long time to come, as we both watch Ken become a fantastic, common sense Senator, one who is respected by all.”
Continuing, Trump hammered the Democratic candidate, saying, “His opponent, Alfred E. Neuman, may be the worst TEXAS candidate I have ever seen. A strong Open Borders advocate, he is WEAK ON CRIME, believes there are 6 genders, is insulting to Jesus Christ, will never support the Military, was a big Mask Wearer until recently, and is a Vegan who dislikes meat, not exactly a good way to be if you’re wanting to win an Election in Texas.”
He then managed to get in a jab against Jasmine Crockett, saying, “Jasmine Crockett, a very low IQ individual, who is no relation to the legendary frontiersman, Davy Crockett, would have been a far better choice for the Dumocrats. I will do some nice, big, beautiful rallies for Ken. Texas, this will be FUN! GOD BLESS AMERICA. President DJT”
Previously, announcing his endorsement of Texas AG Paxton on Truth Social, the President said, “The Highly Respected Attorney General of Texas, Ken Paxton, an America First Patriot, and someone who has always been extremely loyal to me and our AMAZING MAGA MOVEMENT, is running for the United States Senate, to represent a place I love and WON, BIG, three times, with 6.4 Million Votes in 2024 (The Most Votes in the History of the State, BY FAR)!”

Continuing, the president explained, “I know Ken well, have seen him tested at the highest and most difficult levels, and he is a WINNER! Ken is a Strong Supporter of TERMINATING THE FILIBUSTER and, very importantly, THE SAVE AMERICA ACT, something which polls at 87%, including Dumocrats, and yet can’t seem to get approved.”
He then added, “Perhaps Ken can help move these important elements of Government forward because with the Filibuster, as an example, the Democrats will terminate it on their First Day in Office, giving us two extra States, D.C. and Puerto Rico, and a greatly enlarged Supreme Court of the United States, probably going with their Dream Number of 21 Justices from the 9 that we currently have — And these new Justices will be Radical Left Lunatics! Two years ago, our Country was DEAD — Now we have the “HOTTEST” Country anywhere in the World — And I want to keep it that way. Ken Paxton will help me do that, MAKING AMERICA BIGGER, BETTER, AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!”
Further praising Paxton and what he has done for his state, the president then said, “Ken is a true MAGA Warrior who has ALWAYS delivered for Texas, and will continue to do so in the United States Senate. He will tirelessly fight to continue the Great Growth of our Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations (I just delivered the Largest Tax and Regulation Cuts in American History!), and Advance MADE IN THE U.S.A., Unleash American Energy DOMINANCE, Champion Texas Oil & Gas, Advocate for our Amazing Farmers and Ranchers, Promote School Choice, Keep our Border SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Support our Incredible Military/Veterans, Safeguard our Elections, and Protect our always under siege Second Amendment.”
