In an exceedingly entertaining interview that stemmed from the news that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY) is currently the leading Democratic personality in the budding race for the 2028 presidential race, MAGA congressman Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) explained on Fox News Channel’s “The Ingraham Angle” that he sees AOC as wanting a “global communist revolution” rather than the presidency.
That was a half-joking reference to AOC claiming, in a bizarre response to a question about whether or not she will run, that she doesn’t want to be president because she has bigger things in mind, and then went on to list off a litany of things that a president would need to ram through to make happen. Gill, in addition to joking about the communism matter, joked that he would love to see her run, as she would get blown out of the water.
His comments came after “The Ingraham Angle” guest host Rachel Campos-Duffy said, commenting on the disastrously bad present state of the Democratic Party, “This is the sorry state of the Democrats today. Kamala Harris can’t get a full-throated endorsement from members of her own party.”
Then, getting to AOC and introducing Rep. Brandon Gill, Duffy said, “And AOC is openly positioning herself as the ideological future of the movement. Here to react is Texas Congressman Brandon Gill. Congressman, it’s great to have you on. I think AOC is running. What say you?”
Rep. Gill initially responded by mocking her “higher ambitions” comment when asked about the presidency, half-joking that she must be looking forward to a communist revolution or something else of the sort that would really be a high political ambition of a Marxist.
Doing so, Gill said, “Well, I think and I hope that she is. In fact, you know, she may have higher political ambitions in true Marxist fashion. Perhaps, she’s looking towards a global communist revolution, something that transcends even what’s happening in the United States. I don’t know.”
Building on that by getting a bit more serious, he commented on how AOC running would be a disaster for the Democrats because she has long been known as an inveterate leftist. He said, “But I would love to see her running. You know, AOC is somebody who has been on the forefront of left-wing politics for a long time now.”

Giving some examples of the sort of leftist insanity she has pushed, Rep. Gill then explained, “She was a cheerleader for every single crazy left-wing policy that Democrats were promoting, whether it was open borders, or defunding local police departments, or defunding ICE agencies, or transing four-year-olds, or raising taxes, raising regulation.”
Concluding, the congressman argued that the American people as a whole want nothing to do with such radical, far-left nonsense, and that it is clearly what AOC and her political career stand for, so her running would be a disaster for the left. He said, “That’s what AOC stands for. And I don’t think that’s something the American people want anything to do with.”
