National Fast Food Chain Faces Boycott Threats After Refusing to Serve ICE Agents

In an incident that enraged conservatives and led to calls for boycotts of the whole, national chain, a Minneapolis McDonald’s location posted a “No ICE” sign and employed a security guard to enforce it, refusing entry to ICE agents amid tensions following the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good during an ICE operation.

For reference, Federal officials, including Secretary Kristi Noem and JD Vance, defended the shooting as self-defense after Good allegedly weaponized her vehicle. Democrats, like Mayor Jacob Frey, condemned it and demanded that ICE leave the city. In the wake of the shooting, protests escalated, with investigations contested between federal and state authorities.

In any case, the security guard at the center of the scandal tried to refuse ICE by emphasizing private property rights while allowing purchases but restricting access. noxiously whined, when caught on tape refusing to serve ICE agents and defending the sign that said no ICE agents would be allowed in, saying, “This is private property. So you can’t just break the law because you’re a federal agent. It’s like coming into your house or coming to any other restaurant. There’s rules.”

Continuing, the irritating security guard kept going, “They read the sign. At the end of the day, you have the right to come in and make a purchase. It’s just there are rules and regulations,” he claimed to several DHS agents when pressed on the matter of keeping agents out of the store.

Commenters on X, responding to the news, quickly started calling for boycotts of the chain, indicating that such would be the natural and proper response to the horrid behavior of the restaurant and security guard. “McDonalds is begging for the bud light treatment, I would boycott them but I don’t eat their garbage to begin with,” one poster on X said.

Others, referencing the sign and incident, said things like, “ATTENTION @McDonalds This was placed on a Minnesota franchise We will boycott WE THE PEOPLE support our ICE Agents” and “If this is true, you have some consequences of your very own actions, in the shape of a nationwide boycott, heading McDonald’s way. Get woke – go broke.”

Another poster, describing another way to punish the chain for its anti-ICE stance, said, “If you’re in a MacDonalds drive thru this morning and are seeing this while you are waiting, just turn off your car and block the way in protest. Never buy a MacDonalds unhealthy product again until this franchise is stripped of its Golden Arches. Chick Fil A is a healthier choice.”

Speaking about the shooting of the anti-ICE advocate, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem declared that Good “weaponized her vehicle” and attempted to run over officers, prompting one of the officials to fire in self-defence.

Similarly, Vice President JD Vance explained that ICE officers have the full backing of the Trump administration. “To the radicals assaulting them, doxxing them, and threatening them: congratulations, we’re going to work even harder to enforce the law,” he noted.

Responding to a post from Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) blasted the Democrats. Frey whined, “I am aware of a shooting involving an ICE agent at 34th Street & Portland. The presence of federal immigration enforcement agents is causing chaos in our city. We’re demanding ICE to leave the city immediately. We stand rock solid with our immigrant and refugee communities.”

Blasting these cynical responses, the Alabama lawmaker said, “The presence of VIOLENT ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS and RIOTERS is the driving force behind the chaos, not the ICE agents. Stop demonizing federal and local law enforcement for doing their jobs because YOU have failed to do yours.”

Continuing his defence of law enforcement, he added, “Radical Leftist RIOTERS are attacking our law enforcement officers who are just trying to keep our country safe. To all our ICE agents in Minnesota and across the country: if you are violently attacked, SHOOT BACK,” in a subsequent post.

Despite cynical coverage of the shooting, conservatives on social media were unconvinced. “Renee N. Good, 37, a Minneapolis woman killed by ICE…You make dumb decisions, you get bad results. The mayor and gov. are inciting riots with their anti-American rhetoric. They and the media are fanning the flames of a Marxist revolution,” one post read.
