“Dummies”: Fox News Gets Roasted after Bringing on Leftist to Whine about Tariffs, Attack the Trump Economy [WATCH]

Conservatives sounded off after Fox Business brought on a liberal reporter to attack President Donald Trump’s tariffs and efforts to bring back industry to America highlighting the ISM Manufacturing PMI slightly dropping to 47.9, which they claimed signaled an ongoing contraction and a manufacturing recession.

In fact, when the clip went viral on social media, conservatives dismissed the criticism as premature and biased, arguing that the manufacturing resurgence from Trump’s tariffs and trillions in foreign investment takes time, while the broader economy booms.

Starting the anti-Trump analysis with which the Trump Administration would disagree, the female reporter asserted, “So the ISM for December was lower. It’s still in control. It’s still contracting. We’re still in a manufacturing recession. It’s only expanding. Manufacturing has only expanded twice since the fall of 2022.”

Still not done attacking the MAGA movement, she claimed, “Just looking at the percentage of 85% of the sector’s GDP contracted in December, compared to just 58% in November. And if you read the commentary, it’s costs, and they blame tariffs.”

Concluding her biased coverage, the liberal economic analyst continued attacking the Trump administration, “All of the businesses that are quoted say that those are huge headwinds, and it’s still impacting their business,” she alleged.

When the clip made it to social media, conservatives were enraged by the biased reporting. “lol…you dummies thought big manufacturing plants would pop up in 5 months? lmao. Dorks,” a commentator reacted snarkily.

Continuing the reactions, another user said, “That’s ridiculous. Manufacturing jobs wont come in 6 months. Trillions of foreign investment has been dumped into the US since the tariffs. Those will create jobs. Not to mention our economy is booming.”

This is far from the first instance of tensions between the president and Fox News. At a recent rally, President Trump blasted Fox News pollsters as “total fake” and “the worst” for suppressing his support, calling polls a “con-job.” He praised hosts like Hannity and Waters but vowed to address corruption after an audience outburst, reaffirming his fight against biased media.

“Let’s do a poll, because you know, these polls just charge you a million dollars to ask a question, then they don’t even, they just write down an answer. They don’t do polls. It’s a total con-job, some of these polls,” the president said to start off his comments.

Building on these comments, Trump added, “One thing I don’t like about Fox is their pollster. Total fake. Their pollsters are the worst. They’ve been saying they’re gonna get rid of them for 10 years. The fake pollster. Then you have the election, you win by numbers that are like through the roof.”

Wrapping up his remarks, and softening his criticism, he added, “But the Fox, but Fox has been treating me good. They have great people there. Sean Hannity is great. Jesse is great. Laura is great. Greg is great. They’re all great. We have great people.”
