In a video that went viral on social media, President Donald Trump delivered pizzas to the DC Police Department as officers were involved in a massive crime cleanup effort. Speaking to the officers, the president smiled, saying, “Have a good time, fellas, be safe!”

For context, in August 2025, President Trump took a decisive stand against he rampant crime in the capital city. First, he federalized the DC Police Department, despite protests from local leaders and progressive activists alike. Adding to this confident response, he mobilized hundreds of National Guard soldiers to bring peace to the city.

In any case, the president decided to thank the officers on the front lines of this crackdown by passing out pizzas and thanking them for their work. In a clip that went massively viral, he declared, “Have a good time, fellas, be safe!” A few moments later, he added, “I think people now aren’t endangered again.”

As we reported, White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers offered an update on the operation, highlighting the significant achievements of Trump’s leadership. Describing the major victory, she noted, “Nearly 70 people were arrested in Washington, D.C. on Saturday night, as President Donald Trump’s crackdown on crime continues… A total of 68 people were arrested on Saturday night.”

Building on this point, Rogers described how Trump was “quickly making our nation’s capital safer.” Additionally, she said, “In less than ten days, over 300 dangerous criminals have already been arrested and taken off the streets of Washington, D.C.”

Concluding her remarks, the spokesperson connected the crackdown to President Trump’s campaign promises, saying, “President Trump is delivering on his campaign promise to clean up this city and restore American Greatness to our cherished capital.”

Similarly, Special Advisor Stephen Miller celebrated the results of Trump’s DC cleanup. He noted, “We have seen a record number of violent offenders, bad guys, gang members, and all kinds of threats to public safety removed from the streets as well as their illegal weapons that they’ve been using to terrorize the citizens of this city.”

Adding more context, Miller explained, “Additionally, we have seen over 70 homeless encampments that have scarred and disfigured the public streets of this city, dismantled and thrown away, and the homeless have been cleared from those encampments. At the same time, we have the National Park Service going around and getting rid of the gang graffiti that has been left untouched by this city for decades.” He also said that the arrests were “breathtaking.”

When speaking on his own behalf, Trump slammed the DC leadership for their incompetence. He took to Truth Social to announce, “D.C. gave Fake Crime numbers in order to create a false illusion of safety. This is a very bad and dangerous thing to do, and they are under serious investigation for so doing!”

Continuing his post, he added, “Until 4 days ago, Washington, D.C., was the most unsafe “city” in the United States, and perhaps the World. Now, in just a short period of time, it is perhaps the safest, and getting better every single hour! People are flocking to D.C. again, and soon, the beautification will begin!”
