WATCH: Jasmine Crockett Freaks Out and Threatens to “Beat Down” Texas Republicans as Redistricting Threatens to Take Her Seat

In what might be her biggest freakout yet, Rep. Jasmine Crockett went absolutely berserk during a speech at a Democratic Party event, going so far as to threaten to “beat down” Texas Republicans as the GOP continued its push for redistricting that, if successful, will take over five of the Democrats’ seats, possibly including Crockett’s.

For background, a group of Democratic lawmakers from Texas, including Rep. Jasmine Crockett, left their home state for Illinois on August 3, 2025, going on to hold a press conference on August 4 in which they spoke out against their state’s Republican representatives and their redistricting plan. During the press conference, Rep. Crockett went on a major rant in which she threatened to “beat down” the opposing party and referred to President Trump as “Temu Hitler.”

During her speech, Rep. Crockett began by describing her state’s Republican lawmakers as “weak,” adding, “That’s why they’re over here trying to bully people. Bullies are always weak. The difference is they expect Democrats to kind of be the nice guys that we are. They expect us to take the punch and say, ‘Thank you.'”

Continuing, Rep. Crockett told the crowd, “Well, I am here to tell you, not only are we going to punch back, but we about (sic) to beat you down.” Referring to her fellow representatives, who had broken quorum by leaving Texas ahead of the redistricting vote, she said, “Do whatever you can to support these heroes because they are the ones that had to leave their families. They are the ones that have warrants out for their arrest.”

Moreover, Rep. Crockett told the reporters present to “put some respect on their names,” referring to her fellow Democrats, adding, “These are people that understand what it is to be a representative. They understand their constituencies and, instead of trying to stomp on them, they want to do everything that they can to stomp for them. And so that’s why they’re here.”

Moving on, the representative said that Texas Democrats like herself “understand that we have a Temu Hitler in the White House right now that thinks that he is going to become the dictator of the United States.” She addressed President Trump directly, saying, “I am here to tell you that time is up for playing in our faces. The Democrats are not going to stand for this any longer.”

Notably, Democratic National Committee Chairman Ken Martin also spoke alongside Rep. Crockett and other Texas lawmakers at the August 4 press conference, promising to “fight fire with fire” and saying, “This is not the Democratic Party of your grandfather, which would bring a pencil to the knife fight.”

Continuing, Martin said, “This is a new Democratic party,” adding, “We are bringing a knife to a knife fight.” Martin then praised the “courageous Texas House Democrats” who, he argued, were “standing up and fighting back against a racial gerrymandering scheme to disenfranchise Black and Latino voters, all to desperately hold on to Congress in the midterms.”
